Chapter 134: Full-Scale War (Part Two)
The two figures, one black and one white, moved with impossible speed. Before Dilis could even recover her senses, she suffered another setback, sent flying by a punch from the black-clad figure and rolling nearly five meters across the ground.
Anger flared in her heart, but before she could rise, the two figures arrived before her, one in front and one behind. Two palm strikes descended, and the sound of fist meeting palm rang out simultaneously.
Ye Ran’s Cleaver spear swept across to block both palm strikes. Catching both palms with a single fist, he released a surge of internal energy, forcing both the Black Snake and the White Snake to retreat a step.
Only then did he clearly see their appearance.
They were two young girls, seemingly only sixteen or seventeen years old. They looked identical, with beautiful faces as fair as peach blossoms, cold, sharp eyes, slightly pointed chins, and curvaceous, eye-catching figures.
Dilis had always taken pride in her own physique, but compared to these two girls, she felt instantly overshadowed.
The only difference between them was that one wore black leather, while the other wore red.
"Damn it! The Black Snake and White Snake of Grusburg," Dilis said, standing up indignantly.
Ye Ran glanced toward where Ivy and the bizarre creature Bei Yuming had already fled. "I'll handle them. You go chase that bizarre creature." He then looked at the injured elf and dwarf and added, "You two return to the camp first. Ophelia, wait a moment."
The Black Snake and White Snake sisters did not share his concerns. The Black Snake girl stomped her foot, kicking up a cloud of dirt, and the next moment, a violent gust of wind struck.
Facing her aggressive charge, Ye Ran stood unmoving. With a fierce sweep of his heavy spear, a powerful current of air erupted, stirring up a sky full of dust. The Black Snake girl wanted to win with speed, so he chose to suppress her with force.
*Whoosh.*
The Black Snake girl sidestepped the massive gust, leaned forward, and unleashed a whip kick toward Ye Ran’s lower body, while the White Snake girl leaped into the air, her palm blade striking directly at Ye Ran’s neck. The sisters possessed similar speed and strength, their coordination seamless. Had it been anyone else, they would have been flustered, but in Ye Ran’s eyes, this pure physical technique was riddled with flaws.
Stepping forward with one foot, he took the Black Snake girl’s whip kick head-on, while simultaneously throwing a punch at the White Snake girl.
With two muffled thuds, both sisters were sent flying by Ye Ran’s power, flipping through the air before landing.
Dilis finally relaxed and chuckled, "Ye Ran, you’re quite adept at being a 'flower-crusher.' I'll leave this pair of sisters to you; teach them a good lesson for me."
Ye Ran nodded slightly. "Hold that bizarre creature off. I’ll be done with them soon."
"Bingo!" Dilis held up two fingers and quickly disappeared ahead.
The aura emanating from the Black Snake and White Snake sisters grew even colder. They were renowned rising stars of Grusburg, and even Bei Yuming held them in high regard. Yet, the cold, stern youth before them seemed not to consider them strong enemies at all.
A trace of malice appeared on the sisters' faces, but Ye Ran remained indifferent. A tremor from his Cleaver spear cracked the ground three feet deep, the immense power putting immense pressure on them.
This time, Ye Ran attacked first. Before they could react, he crossed the ten-meter gap in a blur of motion, his spear sweeping horizontally to force them apart.
Both sisters retreated three feet, then bent their knees and lunged back in a counterattack, their energy incredibly sharp as they pressed toward Ye Ran from front and back.
Ye Ran spun his spear and thrust it toward the Black Snake girl. Her energy was forcibly shattered amidst a roar, and the sharp edge of the Cleaver spear burned bright, forcing her to dodge.
Ye Ran immediately whipped the spear toward the White Snake girl. Sand and dust rose from the ground; her energy vanished the moment it came within half a meter of him.
Without giving them a chance, Ye Ran slammed his Cleaver spear into the ground. With a flick of his wrist, his internal energy surged through the shaft into the earth. With a shake of his arm, a thunderous boom erupted, shattering the entire ground and forcing the Black Snake girl to retreat again and again.
"Your defeat is sealed."
Retreat was the beginning of their loss, a fate destined from the very start. Among their peers, no one could contend with Ye Ran in pure physical martial arts.
The White Snake girl behind him flickered out, her supple arms coiling toward his neck. To her surprise, Ye Ran’s hand snaked out first, wrapping around her arm before he exerted force to throw her forward. Before she could retaliate, Ye Ran stepped forward and struck her chest with a punch.
The White Snake girl’s eyes grew colder, her brows knitting together as her claws hooked out, carving three silver streaks in the air.
Ye Ran sneered, brushing aside the sharp silver light with a palm. His figure flashed forward, and this time, she had no chance to resist. Ye Ran delivered a palm strike to her neck, and she collapsed.
With the White Snake girl defeated, the Black Snake girl could not hold her own. Within moments, she coughed up a mouthful of blood under Ye Ran’s onslaught and fell to the ground.
Against a natural counter like Ye Ran, they had no chance of victory.
Ye Ran handed Dilis’s rope to Ophelia. "Ophelia, please take these two back to the Minotaur camp. Let Xiao Meng have a good talk with them about Grusburg."
"Understood." Ophelia took the rope with trembling hands.
This man truly had no gentlemanly spirit; he always enjoyed hitting women...
Outside the back forest of the Hunter's Pit, there was a narrow mountain path leading to Grusburg. Thirty miles past this path lay the territory of Grusburg.
Normally, thirty miles of mountain road would be nothing to a bizarre creature, but this time was different.
As a double cultivated by Bei Yuming for nearly a decade, he had been immersed in every move of that young genius, mimicking his way of thinking. Although others said he was merely the shadow that could never see the light in the "Twin Stars," he had always believed his intellect was not much inferior to that lucky young Marquis.
But now, he had to admit the gap between them. Even now, he did not understand Bei Yuming’s purpose in having him meet with Ivy.
That person's shadow hung over him like a devil, making it hard to breathe.
Fear, anger, and inferiority—all sorts of emotions welled up in his heart, yet the bizarre creature could only flee like a stray dog, chased everywhere by Dilis.
The Green Ghost could no longer be relied upon. He knew the strength of the Black Snake and White Snake sisters; wanting to stop the current Ye Ran was as difficult as ascending to heaven. This arrangement was the only mistake that person had ever made.
No, that wasn't right.
That person’s plans had never failed—not even once. Could it be that this time, he was clearly intending to sacrifice him?
Once this terrifying thought surfaced, it could not be shaken off. The pitiful creature, filled with both rage and inferiority, turned his head with a hideous expression, opened his mouth, and unleashed his long tongue, coiling it toward Dilis once more.
"Hmph, monster, let's see how much longer you can hold out."
Three black curtains floated up, and Dilis’s figure instantly wove through them. The creature, helpless, retracted his tongue and fled once again.
But a sound of rushing wind came from behind. A boulder the size of a human suddenly flew over Dilis, slamming heavily into his back. He let out a miserable shriek as he was pinned to the ground by the rock, blood immediately spilling from his mouth.
