“Do you even know how to give a massage?” Liu Dong asked with a cheerful smile.

“Do I not look like I do?” she replied.

“At your age, you look more like someone who would get a massage, not give one.”

“Sister Jing, that sounds a bit ambiguous. I’m a serious reader of *Golden Scales Are Not Meant for the Pond*.”

“What kind of book is *Golden Scales Are Not Meant for the Pond*?” Su Jing, a graduate of a prestigious university and well-read in classics, had never heard of it.

Liu Dong knew she wouldn’t have; it was a work he had read before crossing over, a book that didn’t exist in this world.

“It’s nothing. I’ll tell you about it later.”

“Alright then. So, how about giving me a massage now?”

Su Jing happened to have a slight headache again. After confirming the prescription with an expert earlier and realizing Liu Dong truly had some skill, she was now a bit curious to see his acupuncture point massage technique.

“No problem, Sister Jing. I’ll start with your back.”

After some thought, Su Jing felt that massaging the back wouldn’t be awkward and was perfectly appropriate. She lay face down on the sofa.

“Uh, Sister Jing…”

Liu Dong hesitated, stammering. She thought he was bluffing but had seen through him.

“What’s wrong? Can’t do it?”

“No, it’s just that you’re wearing clothes, which seriously affects the effectiveness. This is acupuncture point massage, different from ordinary massage. Precision is key.”

“I see…”

Su Jing hesitated. Aside from her husband, no other man had ever touched her body.

“It’s okay, Sister Jing. If you don’t want the massage, that’s fine. I said acupuncture point massage is just supplementary—it helps speed things up but isn’t absolutely necessary.”

Hearing Liu Dong’s flustered explanation, Su Jing suspected he might not really know how to massage and that he had been putting on a good act all along.

“Turn over now.”

“Ah?”

Liu Dong was puzzled but complied.

She moved, and the sound of a silk robe brushing against the wool carpet came from behind.

“Alright, come over and massage.”

Liu Dong turned around in disbelief and saw that the robe had slipped down to her waist. Su Jing lay face down on the sofa, revealing only her alabaster back, the graceful contours on the side equally alluring.

Her figure curved like an elegant “S.”

“What are you looking at? Come on.”

Liu Dong scolded himself for being so easily stunned. Before crossing over, he had attended to countless ladies…

He composed himself and skillfully began locating the acupuncture points on her back.

This was nothing for Liu Dong. He knew the lady’s preferences intimately; no special skills were needed.

Once he started, the difference was immediate. Su Jing felt as if some switch inside her had been flipped, and all was suddenly clear.

Liu Dong’s hands pressed firmly and expertly, starting from her shoulders and gliding slowly down along both sides of the spine. Every inch of skin seemed awakened. She could clearly feel the just-right pressure.

It was like a warm, gentle force penetrating deep into her tense muscles, kneading away the fatigue and soreness accumulated over time.

“Buzz… buzz buzz…”

Liu Dong’s phone vibrated incessantly in his pocket.

Though slightly irritated, Su Jing said, “It’s okay, you handle whatever you need to first, then continue the massage.”

Liu Dong felt as if he’d been granted reprieve. He hurriedly checked who it was at this time, interrupting him like this—what a nuisance.

It was Su Jinyao.

Liu Dong glanced at the firmly shut door.

“Uncle, what are you doing? Missing me?”

“Working. Didn’t you go to set up a match for your mom?”

“Ugh, ‘set up a match’ sounds so old-fashioned. I’m in my room; they’re chatting downstairs. Seems like they’re getting along well. I can even hear Mom laughing from time to time.”

“That’s good. What’s up?”

Liu Dong was anxious; he was a bit tied up right now, and his mother really needed him.

“What work is so important? Seems like you don’t miss me at all.”

Su Jinyao sent several pouty emojis.

“I really do miss you. I wouldn’t lie.”

“That’s better. I miss you too…”

“Once I’m done here, I’ll come find you tonight.”

“But I miss you now. I’m kinda nostalgic for last night’s fun…”

Liu Dong thought to himself, this little girl is quite the wildcat, never satisfied.

“What can I do? I really can’t leave now.”

“That’s okay. Do you have Bluetooth earphones? Will wearing them affect your work?”

“Yes, I do. Won’t affect it.”

Liu Dong was confused. Why would she want him to wear earphones?

“Put them on.”

He didn’t understand but did as told.

After a while without a reply, he resumed the acupuncture point massage on Su Jing’s back.

Suddenly, a voice came through the Bluetooth earphones.

“What is she… doing…”

The voice was neither too loud nor too soft, just enough for Liu Dong alone to hear.

Although there wasn’t a single word in Chinese, it strangely invigorated him.

Su Jinyao, when you take off your glasses, you really are wild! A master can only guide you to the door; the rest depends on your own cultivation.

Liu Dong gradually adapted to the rhythm, oddly in sync with the tempo of his massage.

He slowly shifted from Su Jing’s back down to her legs.

He gently pressed the Yongquan point on the sole of her foot. The perfect pressure felt like an electric current shooting upward from the sole, causing her body to shudder slightly, followed by an indescribable wave of comfort.

Su Jing felt like melted butter warmed by the sun; every cell murmured contentedly under the soft yet penetrating touch.

Liu Dong’s body shuddered. Why was she making such sounds? How awkward…

Before long, whether from exhaustion or the massage’s pleasure, Su Jing seemed to have fallen asleep.

Liu Dong carefully draped her silk robe back over her.

Slowly, he walked toward the large floor-to-ceiling window in the living room.

Su Jing, sensing the pressure on her back had eased, actually woke up but wanted to see what Liu Dong would do next.

Unexpectedly, he was so gentlemanly.

She gently turned her head and saw Liu Dong facing away, his tall and upright figure like a profound silhouette painting.

He slightly tilted his head back, the lines of his neck graceful and firm, the jawline resolute and distinct. His hands casually slipped into his pockets as he stood quietly, forming a uniquely captivating scene.

Su Jing’s gaze was irresistibly drawn, intoxicated by the handsome image outlined by his back.

Her heart pounded. What was he thinking now? Her daughter was right—he possessed the charm of a mature man.

In truth, Liu Dong wasn’t thinking that much. As the “music” from the Bluetooth earphones grew louder, he hurriedly ended the acupuncture massage, planning to move to a quieter place to appreciate and listen carefully…
