Chapter 115: The Great Paparazzo of the East Sea, the Otter

Zhang Yang stumbled groggily into the restroom. With his nearly ruined body, he spent barely five seconds relieving himself before pulling up his trousers.
He then went to the washbasin and began washing his hands.
As he scrubbed them, the door of one of the stalls suddenly slammed open, and a figure emerged.
Zhang Yang paid little attention. He shook the water from his hands and was about to leave when an extremely familiar voice sounded beside him.
“Well, Zhang Yang? What a coincidence.”
The alcohol in Zhang Yang’s system sobered him halfway at once. He whipped around, and the person standing before him was none other than Lin Ze.
“Ha… heh. Lin Ze, right? I never thought you’d be able to get in here for dinner too. Heh heh…”
His mouth had been trembling, but then he remembered exactly what kind of place this was, and a smile spread across his lips.
Even his father had only the most ordinary membership card here. He had never expected Lin Ze to be able to get in as well.
“You… don’t tell me you’ve attached yourself to some wealthy patron? Do you know what would happen if I told everyone about this?”
Zhang Yang knew very well that, given the standing of Su Zitan’s company, they were still just a little short of being able to obtain a membership here.
So how had Lin Ze gotten in?
Heh heh heh.
“It’s Friday, my friend. The show is still being livestreamed. As for who I came with, you can find out simply by watching the broadcast, can’t you?”
Lin Ze glanced at him with amusement. Having finished washing his hands, he pulled two sheets of paper from the dispenser and dried them before brushing past Zhang Yang.
Zhang Yang’s heart jolted.
So the people in the private room next door really were Lin Ze and the others?
No, no, no…
Lin Ze might not have come with some wealthy patron, but he himself had brought a fan along!
He had to leave. Quickly!
Otherwise, if they saw him later, everything would be over.
Lin Ze had already reached the entrance to the private room. When he arrived, he found the door open.
A young girl stood at the entrance with her hands clasped, bowing slightly toward the room. She then backed out—and collided directly with Lin Ze.
“Hm?”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I went into the wrong room.”
The girl glanced up at Lin Ze, then quickly lowered her head and slipped into the private room beside them.
Lin Ze found this rather strange. He was just about to enter when he saw Zhang Yang walking toward him.
Lin Ze glanced back at him, but Zhang Yang stopped only four or five meters away and refused to come any closer.
“Zhang Yang, what are you doing?”
“Why do you care what I’m doing? Can’t I stand here and sober up?” Zhang Yang snapped.
[Zhang Yang? What is Zhang Yang doing here?]

[The camera wasn’t pointed directly that way just now, but I think that girl looked like my younger sister. She’s a huge fan of Zhang Yang and has spent a great deal of money on him.]
[Seriously? Is that really your sister?]
Lin Ze noticed how nervous Zhang Yang seemed, and his eyes narrowed.
Could Zhang Yang actually be dining in the room next door?
Everyone was puzzled as to why Lin Ze was still standing in the doorway without moving.
“Little Lin, what are you doing?”
Ji Chen came over and glanced outside curiously. But the moment he saw what was happening, he said nothing and hurried back to his seat.
“What’s wrong?” Lin Chunshui asked.
“That’s a massive karmic entanglement. We mustn’t get involved.” Ji Chen shook his head.
Lin Ze could confront Zhang Yang and his family openly because he was talented and had Su Zitan supporting him from behind the scenes.
Ji Chen, however, had no desire to poke that hornet’s nest.
Once he said that, everyone understood. Wasn’t the person standing outside the door Zhang Yang?
Outside, sweat had begun to bead on Zhang Yang’s forehead.
He had only gone to the restroom and had not brought his phone with him, so he had no way to contact the fan who had come with him.
He could only walk over himself, but…
This was turning into a disaster!
Lin Ze lowered his head and looked at his phone, though in truth he was sending a message to Su Zitan.
What was he doing?
He was messaging the one person in Donghai City whom every celebrity dreaded seeing.
This man possessed an extraordinarily keen nose. He could sniff out the juiciest scandals surrounding any celebrity.
Netizens had given him an affectionate nickname:
The Donghai Scandal Hound.
Everyone still remembered how, on the day after Lin Ze confessed his feelings to Su Zitan, the two of them had gone out together and been photographed by him. He had then posted the picture online.
The result had been a furious backlash from their fans.
The two had openly gone out together after confessing their feelings. The story had already been chewed over by everyone, yet he had still dragged it back out and posted it again.
Today, however, it was Su Zitan who had contacted him first.
Her friend request contained only her name, and the other party accepted almost immediately.
“There’s a huge scandal brewing. Does Yun Ting know? Come quickly. If you’re late, you’ll miss it.”
“Got it!”
Of course he knew the restaurant. The Donghai Scandal Hound had been sitting in the studio fretting when he heard that there was a major scoop. He immediately called for his assistant, and the two of them grabbed their equipment and rushed out.
A major scoop?
There was no need to guess. It had to concern the Zhang father-and-son pair.

“Hey, aren’t you going back to eat? Why are you standing in the doorway?” Zhang Yang was practically frantic, but alcohol had reduced his brain to mush, leaving him unable to think of any other solution.
“Why do you care what I’m doing? Can’t I stand here and sober up?” Lin Ze replied cheerfully, throwing his own words back at him.
That retort cleared Zhang Yang’s head a little. An idea suddenly flashed through his mind, and he understood.
Since Lin Ze was blocking this route, he could pretend to go downstairs, then come back up through the emergency exit on the other side after a while.
At worst, he could use the phone at the front desk downstairs to call his own mobile. Problem solved.
You idiot, Lin Ze. Keep standing there like a fool. I’m leaving.
Zhang Yang turned and walked away, leaving Lin Ze somewhat puzzled.
“Lin Ze, look.”
Su Zitan’s voice called him back.
“Look. Someone’s saying something in the private messages and the live-chat feed.”
Lin Ze closed the door and walked over to take a look.
Someone had sent Su Zitan a great many private messages. People in the live chat and on her Weibo page were also urging her to check them.
“Sister Zinan, could you help me take a look at the young girl who just came by? I feel as though she looks very much like my younger sister!”
“My family doesn’t have a membership card for this restaurant, and none of my family members are at home. I just called my sister, and she said she was at home, but she won’t answer when I try to video-call her…”
“My sister… she’s still underage…”
Both of their brows furrowed instantly.
If that was true, then the situation was extremely serious.
“What’s your sister’s name?” Su Zitan replied.
“Her name is Liu Xiaorui…”
No one spoke. Seeing the grave expressions on Lin Ze and Su Zitan’s faces, everyone watched the two of them in silence.
Click.
At that moment, the door beside them opened. The girl came past Lin Ze’s doorway carrying two bags.
Lin Ze thought for a moment, then looked at Su Zitan.
They were still livestreaming.
Su Zitan understood what he meant. She slipped her phone into her pocket and walked outside.
The girl had reached the elevator, whose doors were already open.
At that moment, Su Zitan called out softly.
“Liu Xiaorui?”
The girl turned around exactly as expected. When she saw that it was Su Zitan, panic flickered across her face, and she hurried into the elevator.
The elevator doors closed. Su Zitan stood silent for a moment, then took out her phone.
