"Gu Yi!"

The Seventh Princess stood to the side, witnessing the upheaval unfold before her very eyes.

Qingfeng had come back to life!

The one who had been run through the chest by Shu Yu's sword, blood spraying everywhere, was now alive and standing! Not only that, but this person possessed formidable strength, managing to sneak up behind Shu Yu—truly, something one would hardly believe possible!

Gu Yi rushed forward, driven by instinct, sensing that Qingfeng was extremely dangerous and intent on disrupting the schemes of the Twin Peaks.

Shu Yu, at the center of the chaos, reacted swiftly. She seemed to sense someone behind her, though she likely never imagined it would be Qingfeng.

A split second too slow, she had no choice but to unleash a surge of spiritual energy in defense.

Yet in this world, there is always someone stronger, always a higher mountain.

Perhaps the others present all believed that Shu Yu would far outclass this man, but that was only because they did not know the history of the Twin Peaks.

Compared to the Twin Peaks, the current Rain Palace still lacked something essential.

Qingfeng reached out toward Shu Yu, whose body was shrouded in spiritual energy. His wrist supple, his movements gentle, he suddenly formed a dragon's claw and inhaled—

Shu Yu's protective aura vanished in an instant, as visible to the naked eye as mist dissipating.

Next, the vines erupting from the earth crumbled and scattered, as if suddenly drained of all life.

"Lady Shu Yu!" The Rain Palace members panicked at once.

What the hell! Is such a thing even possible?

He had absorbed Shu Yu's spiritual energy!

As the turn of events sent a jolt through the crowd, all eyes fixed on them, everyone clearly saw what had happened.

Qingfeng had just stolen Shu Yu's power!

"Who are you?" Shu Yu finally furrowed her brow.

"We're leaving now~" Qingfeng did not answer, only smiled as always, his expression radiant.

At the word "leave," the otherwise unremarkable He Yu Tomb suddenly glowed with a strange light, shimmering into a narrow portal. Qingfeng leaped inside, dragging Shu Yu along with him.

Shu Yu tried to hook her foot at the doorframe, attempting to rally her energy once more, but it only flickered briefly before vanishing—swallowed entirely by Qingfeng's hand.

Yet her movement gave Gu Yi enough time to grab hold of her ankle.

Standing beside him, Shu Le was quick as well; half a step behind, she caught Gu Yi's foot.

And so, one after another, they vanished in a chain, swept away with a whisper.

The Seventh Princess threw herself forward, desperately reaching for Shu Le's sleeve. Her outstretched hand brushed the fabric, but it slipped from her grasp just as she touched it.

All these details took but a few seconds to transpire. The Seventh Princess lunged forward, but caught nothing but air.

And the He Yu Tomb returned to silence, as if nothing had happened at all.

"Shu Le!" Yin Tianyu shouted loudly.

The Rain Palace members were frantic as well. "Where's Shu Yu?!"

"Is this some trap set by Luyang Institute? Knowing they're no match for Shu Yu, they resort to underhanded tricks!"

The Seventh Princess was furious. "Fools! This was clearly Qingfeng's doing. Haven't some of our people also disappeared?"

"Enough talk! If you don't tell us where Shu Yu has gone, none of you are leaving!"

Chen Mingguang and Wu Gang, as if by tacit understanding, moved to either side of the Seventh Princess.

After all, this was the Seventh Princess of Daxu.

With Shu Le and Gu Yi gone, it was their duty to stand in their place.

As students of the Luyang Institute, this much went without saying.

"We await your orders," Chen Mingguang said, not wasting words.

Wu Gang was more blunt. "Let's just cut them down."

...

...

On the other side of the He Yu Tomb was another world entirely.

It was like the back of a mountain, nurturing a tranquil lake.

"Cough, cough..."

Shu Yu collapsed to the ground, her exhaustion evident in her weakened posture.

She had just fought a pitched battle with Shu Le. Even if Shu Le was not her equal, she was still a master of the Reversion Realm, and Shu Yu had also split her energy to save her companions.

Now, having been ambushed by Qingfeng and drained of much of her power, she was utterly spent.

Shu Le was not in good shape either, wounded by Shu Yu.

Even Gu Yi had just come through a battle.

"How much spiritual energy do you have left?" Gu Yi asked the person beside him.

Shu Le's lips were still stained with blood. She pressed her voice low. "My opponent was Shu Yu, so I had to give it everything. I have about thirty percent left."

"It seems I'll have to show you my performance," Gu Yi stepped forward. "Qingfeng, it appears you've achieved your purpose. Is there any need for these tricks? How did you survive just now?"

Qingfeng closed his fan, his right arm flicking two blades of spiritual energy into the air.

Bang! Bang!

It was like striking a transparent screen over the lake.

"Who goes there?"

A deep, ancient voice echoed, source unseen.

Qingfeng stepped aside and bowed deeply. "Qingfeng of Twin Peaks requests an audience. Senior, I have brought you the Mo Clan woman."

At these words, Shu Yu, straining to her feet, raised her sword and aimed it at him. "All you'll get from me is my corpse!"

"That hardly matters," Qingfeng said with a broad smile. "We only needed to bring the Mo Clan here. Whether you live or die is of no importance."

"So, Shu Yu is actually of the Mo Clan," Shu Le said, surprise in her voice.

"Even you didn't know?"

"I've only met her twice, and both times she was masked. How could I have known?"

Gu Yi analyzed, "It seems the Twin Peaks' operations extend far beyond our expectations. And this is not just about killing He Yu. I thought it was a scheme to hit three targets at once; in fact, it's five. They're exchanging Shu Yu and this senior for something, while pinning the blame on Luyang Institute."

"Such cunning and strategy..." Gu Yi felt a rare surge of killing intent. Ordinary villains were not to be feared—only clever ones were truly dangerous.

"And those two worthless ones, who are they?" the shadow on the lake asked, voice low and sinister.

Qingfeng replied with a smile, "People from Luyang Institute who insisted on following when we captured Shu Yu. But I don't think they're much trouble. Mo Clan women are fierce by nature—whether it's one or three, it's all the same to you, Senior."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Shu Le struck, her pink sword-qi streaking like a meteor across the sky, leaving a vivid trail in the air.

Whoosh!

"Well done," Gu Yi praised quietly. Though they had not fought together often, Shu Le's keen combat sense matched his perfectly.

Qingfeng was dangerous—they could not repeat their earlier mistake.

Perhaps that mysterious figure would prove an even greater challenge, but first, they had to deal with this man.

Yet Qingfeng had no wish to fight. With a light tap of his toe, he danced backward, retreating again and again. "Why are all the pretty girls so fierce?"

Gu Yi seized the moment. As Qingfeng dodged, Gu Yi appeared at his flank, blade thrusting straight for the heart.

But, as before, Qingfeng's figure reappeared elsewhere unharmed.

Shu Le frowned. "What kind of technique is that?"

"Twin Peaks, twelve chosen sons, each descending to the mortal world as an immortal. You two, save your strength for the last battle of your lives. Qingfeng takes his leave."

He rose lightly, turning and flying away.

"We can't catch him," Shu Le said, frustrated.

"Ah!"

A cry of pain burst from behind them—Shu Yu had collapsed once more.

"Come now, break through to the Unity Realm. Let me see what you become."

The veil was gone from Shu Yu's face, and her features were finally revealed.
