Regarding the warp technology used by starships in this article

A warp drive is a device that enables long-distance travel by harnessing immense energy to compress space. According to Einstein’s general theory of relativity, the highest speed in the universe is the speed of light. If we tried to reach light speed by continuously increasing a rocket’s thrust, the mass of the spacecraft would become infinite, making light-speed travel impossible. To achieve long-distance journeys, we can instead shorten the distance by bending and compressing space itself. By using curvature to propel the ship, it would appear from the outside as though it were moving faster than light, when in reality the speed remains almost unchanged—only the distance has decreased.

In theory, space jumping is feasible. Through curvature navigation, it is possible to reach light-speed travel. In fact, what we call flight means the spacecraft’s immediate space remains relatively stationary. The key is to find a way to straighten the space ahead of the ship and exploit the contraction of space to attain light-speed travel in theory.
