Chapter One Hundred: Feinting East to Strike West
Wiped out.
Bag’s face turned ashen as he stared at the darkening screen.
He never expected that this Sun Ce could circle around multiple times, baiting out most of his skills, and then strike him at just the right moment.
That team fight completely shattered their side.
“There’s no way around it, this Sun Ce is basically god-tier this round,” Bag said after a moment of silence, shaking his head. “If the other side is Brother Hao Ran, then there’s really no arguing—he played brilliantly.”
Generally, Sun Shangxiang isn’t too afraid of Sun Ce, because as a marksman, she usually carries Cleanse as her summoner spell. For Sun Ce to engage her, he’d have to wait until she uses Cleanse.
Otherwise, Sun Shangxiang can instantly break the crowd control with Cleanse, roll with her first skill, stack up speed boosts, and quickly escape. Then she can kite or simply run away, leaving Sun Ce helpless.
But Lin Hao was different—he used the ship to bait out skills and circled around.
That left Bag with no solution.
On Lin Hao’s side, however, he was all smiles.
This team fight was a success, leading his teammates to victory and earning a surge of rage points—not just for Bag, but for their enemies as well.
The game went on.
After that team fight, the enemy’s situation instantly turned grim.
Before the opposing team respawned, Lin Hao and his teammates pushed down the mid and top tier one towers, firmly establishing their early advantage.
Once Pei Qinhu revived, he headed to the bottom lane, and with teammate support, they took down the bottom tier one tower as well.
However, as the game entered the mid phase, the tide shifted again.
Teammates Pei Qinhu and Zhou Yu lost two consecutive skirmishes while clearing minion waves on the side lanes.
Coupled with a lost team fight in the enemy’s blue buff area, their lead and gold advantage slowly dwindled.
“The enemy team’s lineup means we’ll have to wait until Sun Shangxiang reaches late game before we can fight them head-on,” Lin Hao said. “For now, just manage the minion waves and keep up the tower pressure. The advantage will come back naturally.”
Yet, since the enemy still had a Xi Shi, his teammates were cautious about pushing towers too aggressively.
At ten minutes in,
After smoothly taking down the Lord, Lin Hao and his team planned to press the mid lane directly.
The minion wave led the charge into the tower.
At this moment, the weaknesses of the enemy lineup became clear.
Xi Shi, Bai Qi, Luban Master, Sun Shangxiang, and Mi Yue.
This lineup was overly focused on protecting one carry, and clearing minion waves while defending towers was a serious problem.
If this were a winning game, they could simply dive the tower for a kill.
Whether it was Xi Shi baiting under the tower, or the aggressive initiations from Luban Master and Bai Qi, or Mi Yue with her ultimate ready to recklessly dive towers—all could set the pace for tower dives.
“Shall we just go for it?” Bai Qi asked over voice chat.
He was starting to lose patience.
When Bai Qi has his ultimate, he loves nothing more than seeing the enemy bunch up, waiting for him to jump in.
“I’ve got Cleanse, I can initiate,” Bag replied quickly.
His teammates were eager because they had caught the enemies off guard a few times recently, shrinking the gold gap to around 2000-3000. They could team fight without much disadvantage.
Though they appeared to be on the back foot, it was mainly because the enemy was pressuring towers hard. Zhou Yu, Pei Qinhu, and Luban No.7 excelled at tower pushing, but in team fights, the outcome was uncertain.
Just as Bai Qi prepared to find the perfect moment to engage, suddenly, the roar of Sun Ce’s ship echoed.
The same Sun Ce who had devastated them minutes ago was about to set the pace again!
“Sun Ce’s about to start—Sun Shangxiang, watch your positioning!” Bai Qi warned Bag.
In the next moment, Sun Ce’s warship appeared before Bai Qi’s eyes.
Sun Bin also coordinated with Sun Ce, unleashing an ultimate that silenced all five of Bag’s teammates defending the tower!
Sun Ce was about to initiate!
In Bai Qi’s vision, the ship was growing larger.
At this time, the enemy’s formation was somewhat scattered—Bai Qi and Xi Shi stood on the left, Mi Yue was still in the jungle, while Sun Shangxiang and Luban Master were on the right.
Boom!
Finally, Sun Ce’s ship crashed forward.
Lin Hao chose to throw the ship directly this round!
The hull struck Luban Master, exploding and knocking Sun Shangxiang into the air as well!
Bag quickly used Cleanse and rolled back, ready to kite.
However, Sun Ce leapt off the ship sideways!
Bag frowned—something felt off.
Normally, Sun Ce would leap forward. Since he was decisively initiating, he would first go after the marksman.
But Lin Hao did not.
He knew Sun Shangxiang was still holding Cleanse, with multiple mobility skills left.
So he fixed his attack on Xi Shi instead.
The battle for the mid lane’s second tower was often the fiercest.
This spot was flanked on both sides by steep, thick ridges, with paths in front and behind on either side.
The attackers could be aggressive here, choosing to flank from behind and envelop defenders from front and rear.
Even a cautious, tower-pressing strategy offered many tactical options in this narrow space.
For example, this time Lin Hao threw Sun Ce’s ship to the right, forcing Sun Shangxiang to use Cleanse first.
When Sun Shangxiang rolled back to kite, Lin Hao suddenly jumped sideways off the ship and immediately followed with his first skill to stun and control Xi Shi on the left!
At nearly the same moment, Xi Shi preemptively used her first skill, aiming near Sun Shangxiang.
She was predicting Lin Hao would close in next.
But sadly for her, Lin Hao’s real plan was only to push Sun Shangxiang back and decisively cut Xi Shi to start the team fight!
Luban No.7 followed up, tossing a grenade and then unleashing a barrage, helping Lin Hao secure Xi Shi’s kill.
The enemy reacted quickly.
Since Lin Hao wasn’t controlling Bai Qi, Bai Qi immediately taunted Luban No.7!
Mi Yue cut in from the side.
Suddenly, Luban No.7 became the focus of all fire!
Pei Qinhu and Luban No.7 were positioned apart, with Pei Qinhu in human form furiously attacking the enemy frontline.
Zhou Yu stood nearby, taking damage from Mi Yue while spreading flames.
The mid lane’s second tower area was engulfed in flames!
This narrow defensive position was completely covered by Zhou Yu’s fire.
Zhou Yu’s fire damage was devastating—if the fragile targets caught the flames even briefly, their health would quickly vanish.
Then, Zhou Yu waved his hand, sending a burst of flames that ignited all the fire seeds at once.
In an instant, both Bai Qi, who was attacking Luban No.7 up close, and Mi Yue, who was dealing damage from the side, were stunned!
