“Your Highness, there are many eyes around here. Let this big dog go in first. This is my territory, and I happen to like dogs,” Luke said with a smile as he glanced at the tree across the street, wondering if Hawkeye was home.

“Really? You like Tetanus?” Crystal laughed sincerely, her pure-hearted nature shining through. To her, anyone who liked Tetanus was a friend.

The massive bulldog swaggered into the warehouse, followed closely by Luke and Crystal. The mech dock that usually housed the Warlord was now completely empty; the Warlord was nowhere to be seen.

Luke silently praised Christina’s cleverness; their coordination was flawless. In fact, the Warlord hadn’t disappeared but was in disguise, rendered invisible.

Inside, Luke took the opportunity to study Crystal closely.

He recalled that an adult version of Crystal had appeared in a Marvel film, but this was a little girl, roughly his own age, still innocent and pure.

He wondered why the Inhumans would send such a young girl to Earth. Weren’t they afraid she might be kidnapped by villains? What a careless decision, Luke thought.

Crystal had developed early and was noticeably taller than him—about 1.3 meters, the tallest living being in the warehouse, except for Tetanus.

When Tetanus entered, Peter Parker’s mouth dropped open. “Wow, so cool!” he exclaimed.

Such a gigantic dog! Probably the largest on Earth!

“Wow, so big!” Snowman Christina cheered excitedly nearby.

Peter Parker felt a bit intimidated when Crystal entered; she was stunningly beautiful, making the young Spider-Man feel slightly uneasy.

“Hey, this is Crystal, and this is Tetanus. How about you take Tetanus to get some food? We still have a few burger patties left,” Luke suggested to Peter with a smile.

“No problem, man! Wow, this dog is awesome!” Peter said, looking up at the huge bulldog.

“Go on, Tetanus,” Crystal said, gently patting the big dog’s leg with a serene smile.

Despite its size, Tetanus was adorable and obedient. So Peter Parker and Snowman Christina happily led Tetanus off to find a food truck.

Luke sat down with Crystal and poured her a glass of water.

He intended to earnestly and thoroughly recount to this Inhuman princess the crimes Tony had committed against the Moon!

Outside the warehouse, Agent May was parked across the street in a Chevrolet.

She happened to witness Luke leading Crystal into the warehouse but did not see Tetanus.

Raising an eyebrow, May thought: A little girl this young, already bringing a girl home?

She got out of the car and greeted Hawkeye in the treehouse below.

She asked if anything unusual had happened before she arrived.

“All normal,” Hawkeye replied with an OK sign, then crouched mysteriously and said, “Melinda, let me tell you a secret.”

“A secret?” May frowned.

“I got a new nickname—Kato. How’s that? Doesn’t it suit me?” Hawkeye said proudly.

May rolled her eyes and headed straight to the warehouse.

She was a bit annoyed—her first day on the job as a tutor, and she caught Luke flirting. It was embarrassing.

She agreed with Hill: this kid needed to be disciplined.

As she entered, she ran into Peter Parker.

“Are you Chinese, ma’am?” Peter asked.

Luke looked up and thought, Oh no, not this again.

Sure enough, when May nodded, Peter joyfully exclaimed, “Whoa, ma’am!”

Luke covered his face.

May was stunned, her expression priceless.

Rolling her eyes, she muttered in Cantonese, “Two little brats. None of them good!”

Peter clearly didn’t understand.

“What did she say?” he asked Luke.

“She said your Chinese is getting better and more authentic,” Luke said, still covering his face.

Peter beamed. “I think so too, man! My pronunciation’s getting perfect! But she looks angry?”

May was actually angry at Luke’s translation.

She already felt that agreeing to this assignment was a mistake.

Hill should have taken it, not her.

Just then, May’s vision blurred and her expression changed instantly.

She saw Tetanus emerge from behind the food truck.

What a gigantic dog...

Startled, May drew her gun and aimed at Tetanus.

“Don’t hurt Tetanus!”

Crystal, sitting on the sofa, stood up immediately. Her golden hair suddenly danced as if blown by a wind.

Beside her, an invisible barrier formed abruptly, scattering everything around—the sofa and tables toppled, chaos erupting in an instant.

Even Luke was caught off guard, thrown to the ground as the sofa flipped.

As he stood, his mouth wide open, he saw twin flames flickering in Crystal’s slender, pale hands.

With a swift motion, Crystal brought her hands together, merging the flames into a blazing fireball that bathed her face in a warm orange glow.

“Whoa, a magician!?” Luke exclaimed.

He rushed forward, shouting, “Stop! We’re all on the same side!”

Rotus, hidden somewhere, shouted loudly, “It’s a trap!”

Of course, it had to come out and stir trouble now.

“Master, I’m here to save you!” came a crisp shout, and Christina, dressed as a snowman, scampered out from beside the food truck.

May was taken aback. A snowman? Christmas already? Where did these kids even come from?

She didn’t lower her gun.

The genuine, fiery warmth from the little girl opposite made the hairs on May’s neck stand on end.

Fixating on the magic-wielding Crystal, memories of the Barling Island incident flashed through May’s mind.

A little girl, an Inhuman... so similar.

Cold sweat trickled down her face. Clenching her gun tightly, she aimed it at Crystal.

“It’s a misunderstanding! Really, a misunderstanding!” Luke hurriedly explained. “Everyone, calm down. Lower your weapons!”

But things didn’t go as hoped.

Tetanus was fiercely loyal.

Seeing his young mistress threatened by a stranger, the dog let out a guttural roar, shedding his usual docile expression for a ferocious snarl, preparing to leap at May.

“Grrrr,” Tetanus bared his sharp fangs, terrifying in his massive form.

The sheer size alone was intimidating.

May aimed at Tetanus again.

“Don’t hurt Tetanus!”

The fireball flew from Crystal’s hands, hurtling toward May’s gun.

Her face changed as she tried to dodge, but the fireball was too fast, closing in.

Boom!

A dazzling orange energy shield suddenly appeared.

With a muffled crackle, the flames dissipated against the shield. Luke stood between them, conjuring a mental energy barrier that absorbed the fireball.

May held her gun with lingering fear, hesitating whether to shoot.

The Barling Island incident had left a deep scar, a nightmare replaying in her mind.

Cold sweat poured as her eyes widened, reliving the choice she once made.

To shoot?

Or not to shoot?

Shooting meant targeting a little girl. She had already killed one child and didn’t want to do it again.

Not shooting might cost her own life.

As a trained agent, her survival instincts pushed her toward the professional choice.

Luke noticed May’s trembling hands.

Across from them, Crystal was resolute, without the slightest hesitation.

Luke’s attempt to aid May only annoyed her.

Crystal’s delicate face turned icy. “Step aside.”

Without words, her small hands made a sudden upward gesture.

Suddenly, the warehouse floor trembled violently as cracks spiderwebbed across the concrete.

Luke’s mouth dropped open—this young lady’s temper was terrifying.

Behind him, May wanted nothing more than to quit her job and leave immediately.
