Volume One, Chapter 20: The Desperate Kirielords
At the very moment Lin Yu finished speaking, his figure vanished and reappeared instantly beside the Kirielod God.
“A trillion-degree fireball!”
A massive fireball condensed in Lin Yu’s hand, roaring as it hurtled toward the Kirielod God.
Feeling the overwhelming energy contained within the fireball, the Kirielod God let out a fearful roar, its colossal body struggling desperately to rise from the ground and flee.
But with just a thought from Lin Yu, an invisible but immense power bound the Kirielod God’s body in place.
No matter how it struggled, it was futile.
Boom!
Accompanied by a tremendous roar, a terrifying mushroom cloud erupted within the city.
A transparent ripple spread across the city at a speed visible to the naked eye, and the entire country of Japan sensed the energy fluctuations reaching Tokyo.
[Haipajeton Evolution Level, Current Evolution: 50%]
With the system’s prompt, the enormous Kirielod God was instantly vaporized, its body blown to pieces.
All that remained was its massive form writhing on the ground; the head that once smiled now only wept, emitting endless wails.
“God!”
The Kirielod people imprisoned nearby stared at the fallen, writhing deity with eyes filled with despair and shock.
She could never have imagined the god she revered would be reduced to such a state.
That was the great Kirielod God!
How could it now be nothing more than a writhing insect?
“This can’t be real! This must be an illusion!”
The female Kirielod cried out in disbelief—this horrific sight of their god reduced to a worm-like creature was far too overwhelming to accept.
Meanwhile, another Kirielod, the prophet, wore an expression of utter shock.
Just moments ago, he had been brimming with confidence; now, only collapse remained.
“How is this possible? This is the great Kirielod God! Why is Jieton so powerful?”
The prophet glanced at the struggling deity on the ground, then up at the ominous figure in the sky, as if an evil god incarnate.
His heart was filled with confusion and astonishment.
He could not grasp why Jieton’s strength had suddenly surged so dramatically.
And if the opponent was so powerful, why bring it all the way to Tokyo?
Why not simply eliminate them outright?
Pondering these doubts, the prophet looked again at the writhing Kirielod God, and a sudden realization dawned upon him.
From the very beginning, Jieton’s moves had been deliberate—their aim was surely to rule the entire Earth.
The Kirielod people had simply crossed paths with him.
And so, Jieton played along with their plan.
Recalling the earlier scene of Haipajeton proclaiming the apocalypse to the world, the prophet finally understood everything.
Their previous actions had merely been working for Jieton.
“Heh! So we were just pawns?”
The prophet, staring at the writhing Kirielod God, recalled how minutes ago he had been proud and spirited, now his face twisted into madness.
“Jieton!”
With a furious roar, the prophet launched a deadly charge toward Lin Yu.
He had come to realize that everything he had done was but a clown’s act.
Now, the only thing left was to die with some dignity.
Lin Yu waved his hand at the incoming prophet, and two blades shot forth from his scythe.
After two swift passes, the prophet’s hands and feet were severed completely, his anguished cries filling the air as he collapsed to the ground.
This Kirielod leader, like his god before him, could only writhe helplessly on the earth like a pitiful insect.
“Want to die? It’s not that easy!”
If the prophet and his kind wished to die, Lin Yu would decide when it happened.
Right now, he was still devouring the Kirielod God; only when he finished consuming the deity would it be the prophet’s time to depart.
He wanted these devoted followers to witness with their own eyes the death of the god they worshipped at his hands.
After completing all this, Lin Yu instantly teleported above the Kirielod God.
Looking down at the god’s body, reduced to endless wailing and a mere husk, Lin Yu sneered disdainfully:
“A god is nothing more than this!”
His mocking voice echoed through all of Tokyo and was broadcast worldwide via television.
Those watching the live stream before their TVs heard Lin Yu’s taunt and, gazing at the writhing god on the ground, felt a wave of dread spreading through them.

This evil god was so overwhelmingly powerful—could humanity really stand against it?
After the taunt, Lin Yu crossed his scythe blades before him, summoning a black vortex.
The terrifying whirlpool unleashed an intense gravitational pull, drawing the Kirielod God’s body into Lin Yu’s grasp.
“He’s trying to devour the god! No!”
The prophet, lying on the ground, watched helplessly as their god was absorbed, screaming in despair while his body writhed in agony.
He tried to stop the devouring of the deity he believed in, but it was useless.
Injuries and Lin Yu’s oppressive control left him unable to rise.
“No!”
Not only the prophet, but the female Kirielod also looked skyward with despair as their god was consumed.
Though her body was scorched by fire, the pain of her burning was nothing compared to the mental torment of witnessing the collapse of her faith.
All Kirielod were devoted believers in their god.
For a believer, nothing was more devastating than witnessing the death of their god with their own eyes.
[Congratulations, Host, on successfully devouring the Kirielod God. Evolution level reached 70%.]
[Congratulations, Host...]
...
As Lin Yu swallowed the Kirielod God, the system’s prompts echoed ceaselessly in his mind.
But what interested him most was that his evolution level had surged to 70%.
This single Kirielod God had boosted his evolution by 20%.
He was now only 30% away from fully evolving into Haipajeton.
All he needed was to gather more despair and devour another monster like the Kirielod God.
Then Lin Yu could truly ascend to the pinnacle of the Ultra Universe.
Seeing the 30% progress, Lin Yu glanced at his two-day trial card and made a decision.
He resolved to intensify his efforts.
Once he finished here, he would awaken Gatanjer.
With the big boss evil god appearing and his own apocalypse prophecy combined, increasing humanity’s despair by 10% should be effortless.
Then, after devouring Gatanjer, he would evolve fully into Haipajeton.
With the plan set in his mind, Lin Yu turned his gaze, filled with overwhelming pressure, toward the imprisoned Shining Tiga.
At first, Tiga had simply watched the battle, but after Lin Yu annihilated the Kirielod God with a single fireball, he immediately tried to intervene.
However, Lin Yu had anticipated this and used his binding power to imprison Shining Tiga in place.
Now that he had devoured the Kirielod God, it was time to deal with Tiga.
As Lin Yu directed a fierce look toward Tiga, the Victory Team watching the battle below tensed immediately.
“That evil god called Haipajeton has now set his sights on Tiga. Is he going to fight Tiga? Can Tiga defeat him?”
Lina gazed at the imprisoned giant of light, doubts stirring in her heart.
If it were the Kirielod God, Lina firmly believed Tiga could triumph.
But this Haipajeton had just killed and devoured a massive Kirielod God in a few moves.
Could Tiga really handle such a formidable monster?
This thought was shared not only by Lina but also by other members of the Victory Team, their faces heavy with unease.
“This Haipajeton is terrifying!”
“Tiga must defeat this monster!”
Though Shinjo and Munakata cheered for Tiga, their voices betrayed their worry.
Captain Ikemae, who had been watching the fight, furrowed her brow, her expression grave.
This battle was dominated by Lin Yu’s overwhelming strength.
Even though she believed in Tiga as a god, she couldn’t help but feel unease.
Tiga was a god, yes—but the previous Kirielod God had been easily slain by Haipajeton.
Despite her misgivings, Ikemae knew that both humanity and Tiga needed support now more than ever.
Summoning all her strength, she shouted:
“Go, Tiga! You can do this!”
Her voice cut through the tense, suppressed atmosphere like a brilliant light piercing the darkness.
Those who had been terrified by the evil aura Lin Yu emitted recognized Captain Ikemae’s voice.
“That’s the Victory Team’s captain! She’s cheering for Tiga!”
“Let’s cheer for Tiga too!”
As the crowd’s spirits surged, the prophet who had once despaired at the devouring of the Kirielod God now burned with madness in his eyes.
The great god had been consumed, and he himself was powerless.
Though the prophet detested Tiga, he understood this truth:
Page 3
The only way to defeat the seemingly invincible Jieton was to invoke the power of human faith.
To make Tiga, the embodiment of light, perform the impossible.
To preserve the Kirielod God’s honor and offer its people their last dignity.
The prophet mustered his final energy, unleashing a massive psychic wave that stirred the emotions of all humanity in Tokyo.
“Tiga will win! Light will triumph!”
The prophet, once proclaiming the world’s destruction, now roused humans to believe in Tiga.
Lin Yu sensed the prophet’s action.
Having devoured the Kirielod God, he also possessed the ability to influence minds.
Yet he did not act immediately.
He wanted to stir humanity’s emotions because only with hope could despair be cultivated.
He had grown strong before, but killing Tiga outright now would not generate much despair.
However, if all humanity poured their strength into Tiga, making him incredibly powerful, hope would flourish.
And when Lin Yu then struck down Tiga, the shattering of that hope would yield far greater fear energy.
Therefore, Lin Yu even helped the prophet spread his influence worldwide.
Under the prophet’s persuasive call, those watching the live broadcast suddenly felt hope rekindling within their hearts.
Not only in Tokyo but across the globe, people began to cheer:
“Go, Tiga!”
“Light will triumph!”
With each cry, the faith of humanity transformed into brilliant golden rays that surged toward the imprisoned Daigo.
Feeling the power, Tiga’s glowing light intensified, his form growing more sacred and majestic.
He appeared like a god descending upon the world.
Lin Yu checked his observation panel and saw that Tiga had now reached the pinnacle of a legendary warrior.
But it was useless—Lin Yu was the ultimate lifeform at his peak; apart from the mysterious Four O’s numerical monstrosities, he feared no one.
Even Tiga empowered by the faith of an entire planet would not be a match for the evil god Haipajeton.
Yet Daigo himself harbored no such doubts.
Receiving the blessing once more, his spirit surged.
Facing the energy barrier imprisoning him, he opened his hands wide, gathering golden spiral energy toward the timer on his chest.
Suddenly, a burst of golden light formed.
Boom!
The golden light shot forth, shattering the barrier confining Daigo.
Bathed in radiant golden light, the Shining Tiga stood tall amidst the darkness shrouding Tokyo.
Now, Tiga bore the hopes of hundreds of millions of humans.
Seeing the golden light gleam in the darkness, the people of Tokyo once again shouted Tiga’s name.
The Victory Team, their fears dispelled by the sacred light, found renewed hope and joined in chanting their support.
Not only humans but also the Kirielod people, represented by the female Kirielod and the prophet, watched with eager anticipation.
The prophet, barely clinging to life on the ground, gazed at the golden giant in the city with hopeful eyes.
“Tiga, you bastard, you must kill that damned Jieton!”
Fueled by deep hatred for Jieton, the prophet cried out.
The female Kirielod also stared fixedly at Tiga’s figure; they no longer dreamed of ruling Earth—their only thought now was to defeat Jieton.
There was no other choice; this loathsome monster was simply too powerful.
“Jieton!”
Filled with hatred, the female Kirielod locked her gaze on the evil aura-emitting monster in the sky.
Above, Lin Yu watched as the Shining Tiga emerged from the shattered barrier, feeling a twinge of absurdity.
Thanks to the psychic power gained from devouring the Kirielod God, his mental reach now extended worldwide.
He could sense that Tiga, standing before him, had nearly gathered all the light of human faith, including that of the Kirielod people.
It could be said that Tiga now bore all the power opposing Lin Yu.
At this point, Tiga was almost as strong as in the storyline when facing Gatanjer.
“Alright! You’ve gathered all the hope, huh? Then I’ll extinguish this light of hope with my own hands!”
“Jieton!”
With excitement, Lin Yu roared, releasing his evil aura with full force into the surroundings.
