"Board Member Lu, since you are here, you should handle this matter yourself!"

"This person just hit Instructor Chen, and we are preparing to send him to the police station."

"Furthermore, we are going to expel his younger sister and notify all other schools never to accept her!"

The dean of students was utterly ruthless. If things were truly done as he demanded, Su Yingying's future would be completely ruined. No college would easily admit her. "Stop talking nonsense. Let me first see where Instructor Chen was hit and how bad the injuries are before assigning blame."

Board Member Lu's gaze fell upon Chen Ling's face, pausing for just a single glance! He was about to speak when the young girl beside him suddenly lit up with excitement, her eyes locking onto Su Ming as she vigorously shook the old man's arm.

"The young divine doctor who saved you this morning—it's him!"

"Young divine doctor, I'm so sorry! I misunderstood you earlier!"

"You saved my grandfather, and you were wronged because of it. I wanted to apologize to you before, but you left so suddenly!"

"I never expected to run into you again here."

After finishing her deep bow, the girl raised her head, looking at Su Ming with hopeful eyes, waiting for his forgiveness.

"So it was you..."

"I had matters to attend to and left in a hurry. There's no need to apologize." Su Ming smiled and said.

At that moment, Board Member Lu also walked over. Gazing at Su Ming, he grabbed his hand with immense gratitude.

"My young friend, when one is beaten, one must stand straight; when one makes a mistake, one must apologize. Besides, you are my life-saving benefactor! If it weren't for you, I'm afraid I would have already been pushed into the crematorium by now, ho ho!"

With that, Board Member Lu warmly pulled Su Ming, preparing to leave.

"I just heard them call you a board member, which is perfect. I'd like you to judge this situation as well."

Su Ming then pointed at the dean of students and Chen Ling, recounting the entire sequence of events from beginning to end. He added no embellishments, simply stating the facts.

When Board Member Lu heard the whole story, an icy expression instantly took over his face. He slowly turned around, his stern gaze locking onto the dean of students and Chen Ping.

"Our school prides itself on humanistic management. Since when is there a rule that already-enrolled students are not allowed to participate in paid courses?"

"Who made this rule? Both of you, tell me right now!"

Board Member Lu was burning with rage, to the point that he even started coughing dryly. Even if this matter had nothing to do with Su Ming, upon learning of it, he would have dealt with it severely. Such a management style lacked all human warmth and drastically dragged down the school's standing, damaging its reputation! The potential losses from such an attitude were immeasurable, as he had no way of knowing how many students and parents these instructors had alienated behind closed doors.

"Grandfather, please don't be angry!"

Miss Lu hurried over to support her grandfather, urging him out of concern for his physical well-being. She certainly did not want to experience another heart-stopping scare like the one this morning.

At this moment, the interrogated dean of students and Chen Ping lowered their heads completely. For a moment, neither of them knew how to respond. They were in the wrong and overcome with guilt. Board Member Lu pointed a finger in the direction of Su Yingying and shouted coldly.

Upon hearing this, the dean of students finally felt a glimmer of relief. As long as apologizing was an option, there was still a way out; otherwise, receiving an official demerit from the board member would spell disaster.

"Yes, yes, yes! I'll go apologize right now! It was my fault!"

The dean forced a smile, turned around, and walked toward Su Yingying, bending down to bow deeply! His apology was filled with utter sincerity, leaving Su Yingying utterly startled and feeling extremely awkward.

As for Chen Ping, before Board Member Lu could even speak again, she sensibly hurried over to Su Yingying and performed a deep bow.

"I'm sorry, Yingying. It was my fault as your instructor just now. I apologize to you."

What Board Member Lu cared about most was Su Ming's attitude. If Su Ming shook his head, both the dean and the instructor would be summarily dismissed on the spot. That was the absolute stance he wanted to convey—he would never allow his benefactor to be wronged!

"I hope the Board Member keeps his word."

"I do not wish for my younger sister to face any unfair treatment whatsoever within these school walls!"

"I value her as much as my own life!" Su Ming said with utmost solemnity.

These few words were more than enough to prove just how deeply he treasured his sister. Board Member Lu nodded heavily.

"If any similar incident ever happens again, benefactor, you have my full permission to strike my old face with your own hands!"

"This old man will not utter a single word of complaint!" Board Member Lu emphasized once more, offering his absolute guarantee.

With such a solemn promise from the board member, Su Ming finally set his mind at ease and nodded.

Following that, Chen Ping—completely shedding her previous arrogance—began acting like a dedicated caregiver, carefully pushing Su Yingying into the classroom.

Before entering, Su Yingying waved goodbye, and Su Ming hurried over to her side.

"Brother, I want to live in the campus dorms. That way, you won't have to run back and forth and compromise your work!"

"Don't worry, I'm not overthinking things. I just want you to make lots of money and buy me all sorts of pretty clothes! It's settled, alright?"

As she spoke, Su Yingying looked up at Su Ming with a pleading gaze.

How could Su Ming possibly refuse his sister? How could his heart bear to turn her down? Facing those pitiful little eyes, his heart simply melted.

"Alright then, you little rascal. Make sure you rest properly every single day while I'm not here!"

"And I will come to see you every single day!"

Su Ming also reasoned that constantly dragging his sister everywhere with him was indeed unsafe, especially given his current obligations. Moreover, his identity remained sensitive, and he certainly could not let international assassins catch wind of his whereabouts! Besides, in just a month's time, his sister's legs should be mostly healed anyway. That was why he finally agreed.

"Okay, then I'm going in. I want to have dinner with you tonight!"

Su Yingying flashed a sweet smile before Chen Ping pushed her through the doorway.

"Little divine doctor, this old man has a few matters I'd like to discuss with you. Could I take up just a moment of your time?"
