Night Never Ends Bar.

As the premier all-in-one bar in Binhai City, Night Never Ends boasted both a prime location and impressive scale. The parking lot out front was filled with all manner of luxury cars, frequented by the city’s wealthy young scions who came to spend lavishly. It wasn’t so much the quality of the drinks that drew them in, but rather the private song and dance troupe maintained by the bar’s owner.

Every member of the troupe was a stunning beauty, and, perhaps even more impressively, each of them was highly educated. The selection process for the official troupe was notoriously strict, making membership a coveted prize. As for those young heirs, they were all there for the song and dance troupe.

More precisely, they were there for the two lead dancers, Zhao Ling’er and Zhao Cai’er. Talented and beautiful, both were top students at the Yan University of Performing Arts. Most enticingly, they were identical twins, a fact that made them the focus of every rich young man’s attention.

Inside the top-floor VIP suite, a middle-aged man with a fiery red beard sat at the center, flanked by five or six burly men whose fierce, menacing looks were enough to chill the blood.

In front of the coffee table stood a young woman, her hands bound behind her back. Her expression was nothing short of defiant. Her short, ear-length red hair gave her a distinctive look, while the series of earrings, nose rings, and lip rings added a rebellious charm. Her clothing was unconventional: a tight, sleeveless black tank top showed off snake tattoos winding down both arms, and loose, ripped jeans completed her look. On closer inspection, her features bore a resemblance to Lan Jin.

“Don’t think that just because you’re from the Lan family I won’t lay a finger on you. Even if Lan Weimin were here, he’d still have to show me respect. And you, a mere branch family girl, dare to cause trouble in my place? Where do you get your courage?” the red-bearded man sneered.

Lan Xin shot back without a hint of fear, “I’ve never needed anyone to give me courage. As for causing trouble, that depends on how you look at it. I came to your bar to spend money, but your security couldn’t even guarantee my safety. They deserved to be scolded and beaten.”

“I’ve heard Binhai’s Tiger is known for fairness and integrity. Surely you won’t just stand by while your men play favorites, will you?”

“Hahaha!” Zhuo Yihu burst into laughter, a glimmer of admiration in his eyes as he looked at Lan Xin. For a young woman to remain unruffled in such circumstances was no small feat.

Ordinarily, Zhuo Yihu might have let her go, but tonight was different. Lan Xin had offended someone she shouldn’t have, someone Zhuo Yihu himself dared not cross.

“Miss, I can’t accept such praise. How about this: if you can appease Young Master Long, I’ll drop the matter of you causing trouble tonight, and the Lan family won’t have any further problems with me. What do you say?”

Though his words seemed negotiable, the threat in his tone was unmistakable.

Lan Xin’s eyes flickered with unease. She could clearly hear the fawning deference Zhuo Yihu showed toward that arrogant young master.

It seemed that man’s background was even deeper than she’d imagined. Otherwise, with Zhuo Yihu’s shrewdness, he wouldn’t have remained so firmly on the playboy’s side after she’d invoked her family name.

At that moment, the sound of a flushing toilet came from the private bathroom, and the door was kicked open. Out strode a young man whose very posture exuded arrogance.

Arrogance was the only word to describe him. Every gesture proclaimed his superiority. His clothing, whether by coincidence or intent, was emblazoned with the word “arrogant” in bold print, both on shirt and trousers.

His features were even more striking: a broad forehead, prominent jaw, short nose, pale lips, and eyes bright with a sharp gleam. A single mole between his brows completed the picture, as if to make his arrogance unmistakable.

“Young Master Long, please take a seat!” Zhuo Yihu quickly stood and offered his chair.

Long Wudi patted Zhuo Yihu’s shoulder lightly, smiling. “I’ve always been a low-key person. I wouldn’t want to overshadow my host.”

His words were courteous and modest, but he seated himself at the host’s spot as naturally as if it were his own.

“Damn, when have you ever done anything low-key?” Zhuo Yihu’s mouth twitched as he cursed inwardly, but he forced a smile. This was someone he absolutely could not afford to offend.

“I happen to be lacking a little bedwarmer,” Long Wudi said, his tone innocent yet insolently threatening. “Do you want to try the position? If not, I’m afraid I’ll have to send you to the bottom of the sea.”

“Pah! You want me to warm your bed? Have you even looked in the mirror? You think you’re worthy?” Lan Xin spat back.

“So you really want to challenge me? Do you or your Lan family have the power to go up against me?” Long Wudi sneered. “Since you insist on refusing a toast and choosing punishment instead, I won’t bother with pleasantries. Someone, tie a stone to her and throw her into the sea.”

“Yes, sir!” A bodyguard in a black suit responded and strode toward Lan Xin.

Now, panic flickered in Lan Xin’s eyes. She could tell this arrogant young man wasn’t bluffing—his disregard for life was all too real.

Just then, the suite door was kicked open. Zhuo Yihu’s rage was instant. “Who the hell dares kick open my door? Tired of living?”

“Lan Xin, are you alright?”

A sweet voice rang out as Lan Jin rushed to Lan Xin’s side. Only after seeing that her sister’s clothes were intact did she breathe a sigh of relief.

“What are you doing here?” Lan Xin’s tone was tinged with annoyance.

Lan Jin shot back, “If I’d been any later, who knows what would’ve happened to you?”

“And are you sure you’re not just increasing the odds of us both getting bullied?” Lan Xin retorted, unimpressed.

Lan Jin’s lips twitched. She’d been about to argue further, but as the hot gazes in the room turned toward her, she couldn’t help but admit Lan Xin might have a point.

Especially the young man in the main seat, who was practically drooling as he eyed them, his desire on shameless display.

“Well, well, I happen to need two bedwarmers,” Long Wudi said with a leer. “Are you interested? No? That’s fine—I can tie you up and train you. They say affection grows over time.”

He deliberately stressed the phrase, turning a noun into a verb, his lascivious intent almost tangible.

Zhuo Yihu snapped out of it and murmured a warning, “Young Master Long, that’s the Lan family’s beloved granddaughter. Are you sure—”

“A trifling Binhai family dares call itself a great clan? Laughable!” Long Wudi interrupted with a sneer. “They should be honored to have my attention. Bring these two upstairs, and send in the twin dancers. I intend to enjoy myself tonight.”

Zhuo Yihu kept a smiling face, but inwardly cursed. The twins were the main stars of Night Never Ends; even offering one to appease a real power-broker would pain him. Now this brat—with no real power—wanted both at once. Did he have no sense of shame?

And as for the Lan sisters—if anything happened to Lan Jin, the apple of Lan Weimin’s eye, the patriarch might unleash the full fury of his clan in revenge.

Zhuo Yihu didn’t fear the Lan family, but if it came to war, the cost would be ruinous—and for what? He hadn’t gained a thing from Long Wudi.

“What’s wrong, Tiger? Having second thoughts?” Long Wudi’s face darkened.

Zhuo Yihu was about to reply when a cheerful voice rang out from outside: “Keep abusing your body like this and you’ll be dead in a month, buried in a woman’s arms.”
