Chapter 105: Interested in a Partnership? (Third Update)
At the bottom floor of Hanfu Tower, Yang Fan sat in his car, exuding a proud air. He was even on a video call with Wang Yun, bragging about how he had managed to marry off her two closest friends; tonight, he was eager to see how Wang Yun would reward him. Indeed, he just wanted to claim credit!
“Please, do you really think Xiaoyu and An Lan can handle those two young masters?” Wang Yun said.
“Whether they can handle them or not doesn’t really matter. The key point is the wives. Whatever those men do outside is their business, but they wouldn’t dare bring it home,” Yang Fan replied.
Wang Yun pursed her lips, inwardly convinced that no man could be trusted.
Feeling that Young Master Song was about to arrive, Yang Fan handed his phone to Xiaoyu, letting her and her friend chat at ease.
He opened the car door and stepped out.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, he saw Song’s car approaching as expected.
Yang Fan waved, and Young Master Song drove over.
“Mr. Yang!” Song greeted, getting out of the car with the respectful manner of a junior meeting an elder—after all, Yang Fan and Song’s father were sworn brothers.
“Xiaoyu, are you satisfied?” Yang Fan asked.
“Of course I am!” Was Song truly free to say otherwise? If he dared express dissatisfaction, his father would be furious.
In these prominent families, marriage alliances were common practice. The Song and Han families advanced and retreated together. Song’s father was also aware, to some extent, of Yang Fan’s special abilities. Thus, the alliance was inevitable.
Song himself knew his marriage wasn’t his own decision; it wasn’t as simple as marrying whomever he wished. He’d thought it through on the way—Xiaoyu was quite attractive, so he accepted his fate.
“Come on, Xiaoyu, step out. Young Master Song is here!” Yang Fan called.
Xiaoyu’s heart raced, but she still climbed out of the car.
“Song, I’m entrusting Xiaoyu to you. Have fun today. And don’t forget Young Master Han—best if the four of you stick together.”
“I know. Han and I left home at the same time. Mr. Yang, rest assured!” Song replied.
Yang Fan took the phone back from Xiaoyu, nodded happily, and watched Song and Xiaoyu leave together.
He felt he had accomplished another great deed, and his mood soared.
In Song’s car, Xiaoyu was nervous, and Song didn’t speak either.
“With you gone, will Mr. Yang find someone to drive?” Song asked.
“He said he’d hire a driver,” Xiaoyu replied, her cheeks flushed.
“All right.” Song parked, called the driver company, and specifically requested the most beautiful female driver available.
Song felt as though he had done a good deed, closing the call with satisfaction.
“This is the only way to match Mr. Yang’s status,” he said cheerfully.
Xiaoyu remained silent. Song chuckled and said, “Don’t be nervous. We’ll go pick up Han and your friend An Lan, then you two can show us around Tianhai. We’re not very familiar with this city.”
“Okay,” Xiaoyu replied. With An Lan accompanying her, it wouldn’t feel so awkward—after all, being alone with a man was quite unsettling.
Yang Fan entered the lobby, where Liang He had been waiting since early morning.
Last night, after receiving Yang Fan’s call, Liang He had been filled with anxiety and fear. Even now, he wasn’t sure whether Yang Fan had come to settle accounts or for some other reason.
“Mr. Yang!”
Yang Fan nodded.
“Let’s head upstairs and talk there,” he said.
Liang He was visibly nervous. Yang Fan smiled—he had chosen Liang He because there was a conflict between them.
Such conflict would give Jiang Tao the illusion that the enemy of his enemy was his friend.
In the elevator, Liang He’s legs trembled. Yang Fan stood calmly in the center when suddenly his phone rang.
“Hello, who is this?”
“Good day, sir. I’m from the driver company. I’ve arrived.”
Yang Fan was surprised—who had ordered a female driver for him? After a moment’s thought, he realized it must have been Young Master Song or Xiaoyu. As for why they had chosen a female driver, it was because his reputation as a womanizer had become widely known.
He was overthinking it—Song simply felt that a female chauffeur was more fitting for Yang Fan’s status.
“Come up to the eighth floor,” Yang Fan said. Since she was already here, it saved him the trouble of searching for a driver.
“Certainly, sir.”
Yang Fan hung up and stepped out of the elevator. The entire eighth floor had been reserved by Liang He.
“Mr. Yang, please,” Liang He said respectfully.
“Wait a moment, the driver I hired will be up soon.” Yang Fan waited by the elevator, unconcerned.
That was his style—even as CEO of Fanmei Corporation, he would sometimes pitch in when he saw something being moved. The company’s spirit and cohesion had deep roots.
Liang He was puzzled…
The elevator display flashed, and Yang Fan saw the female driver arrive.
“Mr. Yang, good day. I’m Driver No. 202 from NewStar Chauffeur.” The girl bowed.
She had long hair—beauty seemed everywhere these days; she was likely one of many.
But Yang Fan had met so many beautiful women that he was practically immune.
He nodded and turned to Liang He, saying, “Find her a place to rest.”
“Certainly, Mr. Yang.” Liang He gestured, and an eighth-floor attendant came over.
“I need to discuss something. Wait for me—rest and have some food. Order whatever you need.”
“Thank you, Mr. Yang.” The girl followed the attendant to another private room.
“Mr. Yang, please.”
“No need for such formality. Let’s go,” Yang Fan said, and Liang He led the way into the main dining hall—the same place where the class reunion had been held.
Yang Fan walked a few steps and sat in his usual spot.
Liang He hesitated, then waved his hand for the servers to bring the dishes, after which they left the room.
Yang Fan didn’t mind—he picked up his chopsticks and began eating.
“Mr. Yang, I…”
Yang Fan waved his hand dismissively. “Relax, I’m not here to make trouble for you.”
To settle scores with Liang He was a waste of time; he’d rather take a nap. Besides, Liang He had chased after Yun’er for years—thinking of his own experiences, Yang Fan empathized.
“Thank you, Mr. Yang, for not holding grudges!” Liang He’s stress eased considerably.
“Sit down,” Yang Fan said.
Liang He sat gratefully, now clearly understanding that as long as Yang Fan didn’t hold it against him, the Liang family owed him everything.
As Wang Yun had once said, the Liang family’s entire fortune could be determined by a single word from Yang Fan.
“Mr. Yang, here’s five million. I know it’s nothing to you, but it’s my gesture of goodwill and apology.”
Liang He placed the card beside Yang Fan. Yang Fan sighed and said, “I actually came to talk to you about something.”
He put down his chopsticks, took out his phone, tapped a few times, and handed it to Liang He. “Take a look at this contract—this concerns Mount Mo Wang.”
Liang He respectfully took the phone, quickly scanned the document, and handed it back.
“Mount Mo Wang is already mine. Interested in a partnership?”
Liang He was stunned—cooperation with Yang Fan meant Yang Fan was essentially handing him money for nothing.
