Yang Fan glanced sideways, closed the book immediately, and tapped Wang Yun on the head. “You’re reading this kind of book too...?” But then he thought, perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to take a look himself.

“Pervert!” Wang Yun glared at him, then looked around. Right where the book had been, there was a pillow, and beneath it, something was hidden.

“What’s that?” Wang Yun reached for it, but Yang Fan pulled her back. “You want to see everything? Don’t let Sister Xi lead you astray.”

“What are you doing?” Wang Yun asked indignantly.

“A present for you.” Yang Fan leaned in for a kiss, and with one hand, quietly moved the hidden items elsewhere.

Wang Yun froze, stunned…

Yang Fan’s phone rang again. It was Wu Qian. He let go of the blushing, flustered Wang Yun and answered.

“I won’t be home tonight, don’t wait up for me. Yes, I’m with Yun’er.”

Wang Yun stopped short. Did you tell your wife everything about us?

What she dwelled on more, however, was how Yang Fan addressed her. Taking advantage of the moment, Yang Fan called Zhao Jing too, telling her he wouldn’t be coming for dinner. Lin Ruo had been staying at the Women’s Academy lately, and after filming wrapped for Xu Zihan in the evenings, she would head there with Lin Xi as well.

Yang Fan realized there was no point; it wasn’t convenient for a man to stay the night, so no one was really home. He spent most days with Wu Qian. If he wasn’t coming home, he had to ask for leave. He called Lin Ruo, and today she agreed readily, which put him in a great mood.

“If you’re not going home tonight, where will you sleep?” Wang Yun asked.

Yang Fan hesitated. Wasn’t he staying to keep her company?

“I’ll be with you.”

“I don’t want you with me, you scoundrel!”

“I…”

Huo XinxI had prepared a lavish meal, even bringing out some wine. It was a rare chance for the three of them to gather and enjoy themselves.

“Sister Xi, where do you see me every morning? I never notice you.”

“I’m always outside your company’s entrance. I pass by there on my way to work and see you going in every day!” Huo Xinxi replied, sipping her wine.

“Don’t you think, just the three of us here, it feels like when we were pretending to be a couple?” Wang Yun suddenly exclaimed, genuinely happy. The atmosphere really did evoke those memories.

“That’s why I wanted you to experience it again—it’s rare for us to all gather together!”

Their glasses clinked in a toast. Finding an opportunity, Yang Fan leaned in and whispered in Huo Xinxi’s ear, “You really just left those things on the sofa?”

“Of course, I use them every night!”

“How do you use them?”

“Guess,” Huo Xinxi teased.

Wang Yun emerged from the bathroom, and Yang Fan and Huo Xinxi quickly composed themselves.

From eight till midnight, perhaps due to the wine, they decided to try the experience of sleeping together again. After all, it wasn’t their first time.

In the large bedroom, Huo Xinxi turned off the lights, plunging the room into darkness. In the blackness, only touch remained.

Beneath the covers, the three of them grew restless, their hands wandering. Now, it was a contest of will between Yang Fan and Huo Xinxi, each trying to tempt the other, while with Wang Yun, the boundaries had already been crossed too many times.

Fueled by alcohol and pent-up longing, their desires quickly ignited.

The next morning, Huo Xinxi left early for work. After all, this wasn’t a hotel, but her own home—and it was a workday. Only Yang Fan and Wang Yun remained in bed.

“When will you be heading back?” Yang Fan asked.

“This afternoon,” Wang Yun replied. Thinking of their impending farewell, she hugged him tightly.

When it comes to longing, the body always tells the truth.

“I’ll come to Tianhai in a few days.”

“How many days?”

“It should be next week.”

“Good. Once you’re in Tianhai, you owe me my first time back!”

“My dear, how exactly am I supposed to give it back?” Yang Fan sighed—there was really no way, short of turning back time.

And even if time could be reversed, the outcome would likely be the same.

“Oh, I’ve got a phone for you—just for our family. It has numbers for Lin Ruo, Wu Qian, and the others. If you can’t reach me, you can call them to find out where I am.”

He turned on the phone. “You can also track my location, and here in the family app—”

“So you’re making my status as your mistress official?” Wang Yun quipped.

“You’re overthinking it. You’re not a mistress. You’re my wife—the sixth one!”

Wang Yun smacked Yang Fan, scolding, “The sixth? Why not go for seven like Wei Xiaobao?”

At noon, Yang Fan saw Wang Yun off as she returned with the group from Tianhai City. He waved goodbye, grateful that Tianning and Tianhai weren’t far apart, and that there was legitimate business in Tianhai.

Twenty days after the fall of Salvation, on this afternoon, Yang Fan watched Wang Yun leave. At last, life began to settle back into normalcy.

The only thing that hadn’t quieted was his phone, constantly ringing with invitations for him to go out. He got a new number for the high-end clubs, but never returned.

Back at Fanmei Corporation, Yang Fan returned to the office.

“Uncle! The people from Tianhai, including Ajiu, have arrived, and President Han is waiting for you too!”

Yang Fan nodded. He hadn’t had time for these matters lately; only after the Salvation incident was resolved did he call them in.

“How’s it going? Has everyone gone to the resort?” Yang Fan asked.

“Yes, the first group of tourists has already gone, led by Zhang Chen and Xu Tao. They’re there to settle things and also to start filming two movies,” Liu Haoyu replied.

“Consider this a bonus. Not only did we take down Salvation without losing a cent, we made a fortune! If opportunities like this come up again, I’ll take every one.” Yang Fan was elated—the more he thought about it, the happier he became.

Liu Haoyu was pleased as well. As Fanmei’s chief accountant, he knew better than anyone how much they’d made in the past two months.

And that wasn’t even counting Ajiu’s group of five and President Han, whom they now controlled. Even more valuable was the group of women from the First Academy at the Women’s College—versatile talents who would play a huge role in the future. The Second Academy, also known as the Slave Academy, and the company Ephemeral Blossoms had also brought in substantial profits.

When Yang Fan returned to Tianning to tidy up Sister Ying’s place, he discovered she also owned a villa. One could only imagine how lucrative Salvation had been.

There were also stacks of luxury car vouchers, and the villas were distributed among the first group at Fanmei, along with cars. The entire company was buzzing with excitement.

“Ephemeral Blossoms’ streaming platform had its first test broadcast yesterday. I checked—it went well.”

“The main income from Ephemeral Blossoms supports the Women’s College and their daily expenses. We’ll focus on our growth; you manage that side. Wu Qian can’t spare the time.”

“No problem, Uncle!” Liu Haoyu replied.

By then, they had arrived at the company.

“President Yang!”

“Hello, President Yang!”

Yang Fan greeted everyone warmly. Now, every member of Fanmei felt proud to be part of the company.
