Qin Tian’s face changed dramatically; he hadn’t expected someone to suddenly attack him! What was going on? Was he being assassinated again? When would this madness end?

Qin Tian shifted his steps to the side, sliding his body away to dodge the young girl’s thrust.

The youthful girl’s strike missed. She didn’t attack again immediately but instead crouched on the sofa in the audience seats, striking a seductive pose and casting a flirtatious glance at Qin Tian.

“Who are you?” Qin Tian asked.

“I am Fox Fairy,” the girl replied with a mischievous laugh.

Fox Fairy? That had to be a code name for an assassin.

“Who sent you?” Qin Tian pressed.

“Master, I simply cannot tell you that,” Fox Fairy answered with a charming smile.

Qin Tian shook his head. This Fox Fairy seemed to truly understand the art of seduction, though it was somewhat different from the bewitching technique of the campus belle, Gong Miaomiao.

Gong Miaomiao used parasites to control others, while Fox Fairy genuinely possessed an enchanting aura.

A beautiful girl, after special training, could become a “fox temptress.”

In the past, there were specialists trained in this very craft, employing the beauty trap to ensnare opponents.

This method was ancient, even thought lost, yet now Qin Tian had encountered it firsthand.

“Master, let me kill you now. My blade thirsts for blood,” Fox Fairy said, licking the blade with the tip of her tongue.

Qin Tian shuddered involuntarily—a strange and unsettling quirk.

“Master, be careful. I’m coming for you!” Fox Fairy blew a kiss from afar, then suddenly launched herself forward with the force and speed of a fighter jet.

Facing an enemy, Qin Tian showed no mercy. He grabbed a nearby golden staff.

Though puzzled why there was a golden staff here, Qin Tian had no time to care—it was probably just a prop.

The moment he wielded the staff, his body felt the weight—it was forged from solid iron!

Qin Tian was speechless. A prop this realistic? A simple bamboo stick would have sufficed, why use real iron?

This prop was crafted with excessive dedication.

Still, the weight was manageable for Qin Tian.

Swinging the golden staff, Qin Tian aimed a blow at Fox Fairy, almost wanting to shout, “Begone, demon!”

Fox Fairy did not dodge or avoid the strike; she pressed forward with her dagger.

Thud!

When comparing a dagger to a staff, the staff’s reach was definitely superior.

Fox Fairy was struck heavily on her back by Qin Tian’s blow.

She fell hard to the ground, coughing up blood, but quickly regained her footing and distanced herself.

Her expression turned to shock as she stared at the iron staff in Qin Tian’s hands.

Like Qin Tian, she had assumed the golden staff was merely a wooden prop—perhaps at best a wooden stick.

A wooden stick the thickness of an adult’s arm was nothing to her; she could break it with ease. So how could a slender one, like a sugarcane stalk, intimidate her?

Yet, it was iron.

Who had prepared such a prop? This was a setup to sabotage the actor!

“Sorry, I forgot to mention—the staff is iron. I just discovered that myself,” Qin Tian said, scratching his head.

“Master, I’m starting to get angry,” Fox Fairy narrowed her eyes, discarded her dagger, and pulled something from her back waist.

With a sharp crack, she flicked out a long whip.

The whip lashed the ground, kicking up dust.

It was a special whip—made of cowhide, but wrapped in a fine mesh of steel wires, like those steel scrubbers for washing dishes.

The whip was over three meters long.

Looking at his five-and-a-half-foot golden staff, Qin Tian suddenly found it less appealing.

Three meters versus one meter eighty—the whip clearly had a longer reach.

“I’m going to strike now!” Fox Fairy stepped forward three paces and cracked the whip fiercely toward Qin Tian.

Qin Tian hurriedly blocked with his staff, but the whip coiled around it tightly.

With a strong pull, Fox Fairy yanked the staff from Qin Tian’s grasp. It flew through the air and lodged itself in the backrest of a sofa chair in the audience seats.

Weaponless, Qin Tian was at a disadvantage. He searched desperately but found no suitable weapon. Helpless, he grabbed a sandbag that was holding down the stage truss and hurled it at Fox Fairy.

She flicked her whip through the air, slicing the sandbag to pieces.

Boom!

Countless grains of sand scattered, briefly blinding both of them.

Taking advantage of the moment, Qin Tian circled behind Fox Fairy, retrieved his golden staff, and struck her lower back again.

Caught off guard, Fox Fairy staggered forward, nearly falling flat on the ground.

Qin Tian prepared to rush forward for another strike but slipped on the sandy floor.

Frowning slightly at the scattered sand, he knew it made the ground slippery and dangerous.

Fox Fairy’s back burned fiercely from the blow. She hadn’t expected such a heavy loss.

“Master, I will carve your flesh piece by piece to ease my rage!” she snarled, turning to face him.

“You still manage to keep your composure—impressive under the circumstances,” Qin Tian shrugged. Most would have cursed by now, yet she still called him “Master” so endearingly.

“I’m no brute,” Fox Fairy said, dropping her whip, covering her face with her left hand as she laughed softly, while her right hand slipped behind her back.

When her right hand reemerged, a black barrel of a gun was pointed at Qin Tian.

Startled, Qin Tian was stunned by her trickery—now she had a gun?

“Master, you are too powerful. I have no choice,” Fox Fairy said gently as she pulled the trigger.

Qin Tian scrambled for cover but found none. He ducked behind the sofa backrest in the audience seats.

The sofa had a steel plate core, likely bulletproof.

Yet, after waiting a long time, Qin Tian heard no gunshot—only a series of clicking sounds.

Peeking out, he saw Fox Fairy’s face filled with confusion.

The gun was broken.

Fox Fairy’s expression turned dark as she recalled Qin Tian’s staff blow to her back—it must have damaged the gun.

“Damn it!” she lost her composure, angrily throwing the gun to the ground and retrieving her steel wire cowhide whip.

“Ha! Gun broken?” Qin Tian chuckled as he stepped out from behind the sofa. Fortune truly favored him!

“Master, I shall visit you again another day!” Fox Fairy decided to retreat.

“Trying to run?” Qin Tian narrowed his eyes.

“No way! One more strike, and that makes three!” Qin Tian charged.

Like Sun Wukong’s three battles with the White Bone Demon in mythology, today Qin Tian would thrice confront the fox temptress.
