"Qin... Qin... Qin Tian!" Qiu Yindang stammered, his words stumbling out.
"Who were you planning to beat up?" Qin Tian asked once more.
"Brother Tian, I... I wasn't going to beat anyone up, you must have misheard."
Now, whenever Qiu Yindang saw Qin Tian, he felt a fear that reached his very bones. Someone who could swing a sofa and send a person flying—such a man was nothing short of a monster!
"Stay away from the two of them," Qin Tian said coldly.
"Brother Tian, are those two your girls? Got it, I won't bother them ever again." Qiu Yindang nodded repeatedly, his eyes filled with envy. How could one man possess two such stunning beauties!
Qin Tian couldn't be bothered to explain his relationship with Jiang Yingying and Shen Xiaoqing. As long as Qiu Yindang stopped harassing them, that was enough.
"Brother Qin Lei, what's happening here?" Just then, Nangong Xiao'e skipped over, looping her arm through Qin Tian's.
"It's nothing. But how did you manage to get cream on your nose again? Are you doing this on purpose?" Qin Tian laughed as he wiped the cream from her nose with his finger, giving her little nose a playful flick.
"You caught me!" Nangong Xiao'e flashed her little tiger teeth, beaming with childlike delight.
Jiang Yingying couldn't help but scold at the sight, "Can you mind your manners in public?"
Nangong Xiao'e stuck out her tongue and made a face at Jiang Yingying.
"Hmph!" Jiang Yingying snorted coldly, turning away, unwilling to argue with Nangong Xiao'e.
Qiu Yindang glanced at Qin Tian, then at Nangong Xiao'e, then at Jiang Yingying and Shen Xiaoqing, and couldn't help but suck in a breath—three girls?
Qin Tian was unbelievable! This was the stuff of legends—a true master with women!
Qiu Yindang suddenly felt an urge to take Qin Tian as his mentor!
"Make way! All of you, get out of the way! Young Master Dang, we're here. Who's the blind fool that's been causing you trouble?" At that moment, the reinforcements Qiu Yindang had called arrived.
"And who are you calling a fool? Can you speak a little more civilly, hmm? Always spouting insults—what do you think people will think of us?"
Qiu Yindang slapped the leader on the head. Was this a joke? With Qin Tian—the living god—standing right before him, these clueless lackeys had the nerve to hurl insults? Were they trying to get him killed?
"Young Master Dang, we... we just..." The leader stared wide-eyed, completely bewildered.

"What are you stammering for? Get out, all of you!" Qiu Yindang kicked the leader, who retreated with a look of grievance, taking his men with him.
"Yindang, you had better behave yourself. Don't let me catch you up to any more tricks," Qin Tian said, pointing at him.
"Yes, yes, Brother Tian, you're right. I won't try any more tricks." Qiu Yindang bowed and nodded obsequiously.
But in his heart, he was already plotting—should he have his uncle send someone formidable over?
The thugs outside now were useless against Qin Tian. Only the experts under his uncle, Qiu Lang, might stand a chance.
Qiu Yindang had heard that his uncle's men were masters, cultivators who could split the heavens and earth.
No matter how strong Qin Tian was, could he really compare to them?
With that thought, Qiu Yindang made up his mind—let Qin Tian enjoy his swagger for a few days. Soon he'd have his uncle send reinforcements.
The rest of the welcoming party proceeded normally: Qiu Yindang was introduced, and the socialites exchanged pleasantries.
During this time, something unexpected happened—a group of wealthy young men gathered around Jiang Yingying and Shen Xiaoqing, all vying for Jiang Yingying's attention with overt and subtle flattery.
When Qin Tian glanced over, Jiang Yingying looked back at him and, with a hint of provocation, gave a little huff. Qin Tian was left perplexed.
"Flies don't swarm to uncracked eggs," Nangong Xiao'e said quietly.
Her words, though soft, were still caught by Jiang Yingying, and the group of young men turned, their faces full of indignation.
"What are you staring at? Well? Am I wrong?" Nangong Xiao'e cocked her head, unafraid.
"And what mannerless thing are you supposed to be?" one of the wealthy young men snapped.
"Shouldn't you at least have some sense of your own worth?" Nangong Xiao'e retorted, not backing down.
"My, such a sharp tongue!" The young man rolled up his sleeves, marching over, his gentlemanly mask long gone.
These rich heirs, used to acting like kings of the world and living off their family's wealth, only put on airs of refinement in front of pretty heiresses like Jiang Yingying.
Once provoked, their true nature was revealed in an instant.

The young man swung his fist at Nangong Xiao'e's chest, aiming at a spot that was anything but decent.
Nangong Xiao'e's eyes flashed coldly; she saw right through his intentions—he was trying to take advantage of her!
She had no patience for him. With a quick move, she seized his wrist.
The young man was startled and tried to jerk his hand free, but couldn't. This slip of a girl had surprising strength!
Crack!
With a crisp snap, Nangong Xiao'e twisted his wrist out of joint, dislocating it entirely.
His eyes went wide, as if it took a moment for the pain to register, and only then did he let out a scream.
"Get lost!" Nangong Xiao'e shoved him, and he stumbled backward, collapsing into the arms of his companions.
"Brothers, get her!" The other young men, now little better than street thugs, undid their buttons and rolled up their sleeves, charging at Nangong Xiao'e.
But Nangong Xiao'e stood her ground, taking them all on.
In less than a minute, all the young men were sprawled on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Really think you're something, don't you? Maybe take a look in the mirror. So, a bunch of stinking flies think they can play the hero for a rotten egg?" Nangong Xiao'e mocked mercilessly.
"Enough! Nangong Xiao'e, are you even a woman? Could you try to act with a shred of feminine dignity?" Jiang Yingying yelled.
"Am I a woman? Maybe you should be asking them if they're men! So many of them ganging up on me—where's their shame? I feel embarrassed for them!" Nangong Xiao'e pursed her lips in disdain.
"Nangong Xiao'e, why must you always go against me?" Jiang Yingying said angrily.
"And who's really going against whom? I haven't done anything to you, have I?" Nangong Xiao'e had already figured out a little of what was going on, but she refused to dwell on it. In her heart, she felt Qin Tian should belong to her alone.
Qin Tian, standing by, felt a headache coming on. From the first meeting, they'd been at each other's throats. They'd just had another spat before leaving the house, and now, here they were at it again!
