The doctors were so shocked they were left speechless. Sun Simin was Qin Tian’s apprentice? This was absolutely preposterous! No, it was downright terrifying! Who was Sun Simin? He was a man hailed as a divine healer! If Qin Tian were Sun Simin’s apprentice, they might have been able to accept it, but to say that Sun Simin was the apprentice of Qin Tian—this was just... this was...

"Are you not going to offer the courtesies due to a senior?" Qin Tian asked, looking at them with a mocking smile.

The doctors’ lips twitched. They looked at one another, all wearing embarrassed expressions. They had clearly stated earlier that those with greater ability come first, and whoever possessed true skill was to be treated as a senior! Now that Sun Simin himself was Qin Tian’s apprentice, did that not prove Qin Tian’s skill?

Sun Simin’s eyes rolled as he quickly grasped the situation. He scolded the doctors, "Did you offend my master?"

"Elder Sun, we..." The doctors were momentarily struck dumb. They had indeed offended him—and they had offended him quite thoroughly!

"Apologize to my master at once!" Sun Simin commanded. How could an apprentice stand idly by while his master was being insulted?

"Elder Sun, have you been drugged? You recognize this kid as your master?" Wu Hairong pointed at Qin Tian and asked. Who was Wu Hairong? He was one of the world's premier medical geniuses, a second-tier professor at the tender age of thirty-three! With such status, he didn't believe there was anyone he couldn't afford to offend.

"And who are you?" Sun Simin asked, frowning. Sun Simin had no concept of Wu Hairong, this rising star in the medical circle. He poured his heart into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) research, and apart from a few close peers of his own level, he paid no attention to outsiders.

"I am Wu Hairong," Wu Hairong said, stunned. Sun Simin had never heard of his prestigious name?

"Who is Wu Hairong?" Sun Simin asked, looking confused.

The doctors’ faces twitched again. This master and apprentice were exactly the same! Wu Hairong must have been about to explode with rage, right?

"I am a professor who returned from overseas! A second-tier professor!" Wu Hairong proclaimed.

"Returned from overseas? I’ve never heard of a professor title called 'sea turtle,'" Sun Simin said, even more bewildered. Who would give themselves such a title?

"You!" Wu Hairong was furious, assuming Sun Simin was insulting him. He was wronging Sun Simin, however; Sun Simin wasn't playing dumb—he truly had no concept of such things. He had little contact with that world. It was like asking someone from a remote mountain village, who spent his days dealing with rice, vegetables, and livestock, who Peppa Pig was. How could he possibly know? He would never in a million years guess that the creature was a pig!

The doctors’ faces twitched for the third time. Some tried to slip away, but Qin Tian blocked them.

"My juniors, you haven't offered your respects yet; why are you in such a hurry to leave? Isn't that a bit impolite?" Qin Tian said coolly.

"Don't push your luck!" an old man, appearing to be nearly sixty, said with a face full of rage.

"Push my luck? Please, these were your own rules, weren't they? I asked you several times earlier, and you all insisted it was necessary." Qin Tian pointed his chin toward the security camera. "Look, the camera recorded everything. Shall we pull up the footage?"

"How overbearing!" the old man snorted.

"Who is being overbearing? You were the ones clamoring earlier, and now you are the ones playing the victim. Are you trying to take both the roles of the hero and the villain?" Qin Tian replied indifferently.

"Kid! Just you wait!" The old man spat viciously at Qin Tian’s feet and brushed past him with a wave of his hand. "TCM? It’s nothing but trash! Bah!"

Qin Tian sneered, his right hand flicking in a subtle motion. TCM is trash? Then you’ll be kneeling to repent in a moment!

With the old man leading the way, the other doctors left, heading into the main hall. Wu Hairong hesitated, but seeing that the tide had turned and he had no one to back him up, he decided he might not be a match for Qin Tian and Sun Simin. He glared at Qin Tian and walked into the hall as well.

"Master, don't pay any mind to those idiots," Sun Simin said, running over.

"Huh." Qin Tian was momentarily stunned. Such words coming from Sun Simin? When did he become so irreverent?

"By the way, Master, everything you entrusted to me has been handled. That woman has been fired and blacklisted from all major hospitals. I doubt she’ll be able to work in any medical-related field for the rest of her life," Sun Simin said with a smile. "I imagine she’s filling out her withdrawal application right about now."

"How did you manage that?" Qin Tian asked, curious.

"It’s simple. I paired Chen Qiaoshan with my nephew, Sun Yuebin, and instructed him to leave two bundles of cash on the table every day," Sun Simin explained.

"And then?" Qin Tian was taken aback. What kind of tactic was this?

"Faced with that much cash, who wouldn't be tempted? Especially since Chen Qiaoshan grew up in such extreme poverty and with such deep-seated insecurity, she was bound to have ideas," Sun Simin said.

Qin Tian realized the rest. It went without saying that Chen Qiaoshan must have stolen the money! While it might seem a bit unscrupulous—certainly not something to be recommended in real life—Qin Tian felt it was perfectly appropriate for dealing with someone like her. She deserved it.

"I never would have guessed, Elder Sun, that you had such a devious side," Qin Tian remarked. Sun Simin scratched his head in embarrassment before following Qin Tian into the hall.

This time, Sun Simin was the only major figure representing TCM. Nanshan’s Elder Shangguan Jinglong and Beihai’s Elder Yuan Yu were both tied up, so only Sun Simin had come. The other TCM practitioners, while masters in their own right, could not compare to him. However, the Western medicine side was much more formidable, with a throng of domestic and foreign experts so numerous they were impossible to count. Every single one of them was a leading authority at some prestigious hospital.

"Hmph! TCM!" After taking his seat, the old man from earlier spoke toward Qin Tian’s side with disdain.

"What’s wrong with TCM? Perhaps you are unaware of the wonders of TCM?" Qin Tian said with a faint smile.

"Wonders, my foot! Boiling various herbs into a soup is not only troublesome but slow to take effect. How can it compare to Western medicine, where essences are extracted and synthesized for immediate results?" the old man retorted.

"Is that so? Then are you aware that in TCM, there is a technique called acupoint striking?" Qin Tian looked at him with amusement.

"Acupoint striking? You must have watched too many television dramas!" The old man burst into laughter, and those around him joined in.

"I’m serious. Not only can I strike acupoints, I can do it from a distance!" As Qin Tian spoke, he gestured toward the old man.

*Cackle, cackle, cackle...* The old man’s laughter cut off abruptly. He froze, clutching his waist, his complexion turning a sickly liver color. He opened his mouth to speak, but not a single sound came out.

"See? I wasn't lying. I really can strike acupoints from a distance," Qin Tian said with a shrug.
