An hour later, Tang Yiliu and his three companions saw Qin Tian and the others off with the same relief as if they were sending away a plague god, after having dined and drunk their fill.

“Old Tang, are we just going to swallow this humiliation?” Deng Jiachen asked, feeling more stifled than ever before.

“What if we just go back on our word and don’t give him what we promised?” Huang Qinhu asked, still fuming. He felt he’d gotten the worst of it today—trouble had come out of nowhere, all thanks to that idiot Snake, who must have done something behind the scenes to offend this living plague god.

“Do you dare not give it? Are you not afraid of incurring the wrath of the Griffin family?” Jiang Zhengye cast a glance at Huang Qinhu.

For Jiang Zhengye, today’s losses were minimal—barely a drizzle, really. He had only given up five percent of his shares and a single hotel.

“That little bastard! To think he’s managed to get involved with the Griffin family—what rotten luck!” Huang Qinhu grumbled resentfully.

“All right, enough quarreling. What we promised, we’ll hand over,” Tang Yiliu said.

“So we’re just going to accept this?” Huang Qinhu pressed.

“Accept it? What else can you do if you don’t? Can you bear the wrath of the Griffin family?” Tang Yiliu replied coolly.

At this, Huang Qinhu was left speechless. Not to mention the small Wu City branch he headed—even the entire main council of the Bodhi Society would tread carefully around the Griffin family.

“Don’t worry about it anymore. As for Qin Tian, someone else will take care of him,” Tang Yiliu’s eyes narrowed slightly.

That black-robed man came from that mysterious organization. Anyone targeted by them never met a good end. Even with the Griffin family’s protection, Qin Tian would not escape unscathed.

All he had to do was wait at home for news—that Qin Tian had been dealt with by the black-robed man and the mysterious organization.

“Who would dare deal with him?” Huang Qinhu asked. There were few in this world who would risk offending the Griffin family.

“You Bodhi Society people should know best who’s after Qin Tian,” Tang Yiliu said.

“What do you mean?” Huang Qinhu was momentarily stunned, not understanding.

“Do you remember that mysterious power from five years ago?” Tang Yiliu asked.

Huang Qinhu shivered in fright. Wasn’t that mysterious group supposed to have been severely damaged? There had long been rumors of its disbandment. And now, had they returned?

“You’ve already had contact with them?” Huang Qinhu asked. If that was true, it was big news—he’d need to report it to headquarters at once.

“Just a few days ago, a black-robed man from their side sought me out. He wanted me to capture Qin Tian,” Tang Yiliu said.

A sharp intake of breath echoed—not only from Huang Qinhu but also from Deng Jiachen and Jiang Zhengye. If that mysterious organization truly was back and had set its sights on Qin Tian, then he was as good as doomed.

“So, let’s go. All we have to do now is wait for news of Qin Tian’s disappearance,” Tang Yiliu said.

The others nodded in agreement and left the Imperial Grandeur Hotel with Tang Yiliu. From that moment on, the hotel was now under Qin Tian’s name.

Outside the hotel.

“Brother Griffin, I never expected to see you in China. It’s been almost five years since we last met, hasn’t it? Back then, I only reached your waist,” Qin Tian said with a laugh, gesturing to his side.

Five years ago, both Wade Griffin and his grandfather, Pran Griffin, had come to the Celestial Horse Circus.

As for what they’d come for, Qin Tian could no longer remember. He only vaguely recalled that the two men were very respectful toward Old Kong.

“Yes, time flies,” Wade Griffin replied with a smile and a nod.

“By the way, where’s the nearest mall? Let’s go shopping,” Wade Griffin suggested.

“Shopping?” Qin Tian was taken aback, not expecting Wade Griffin to want to visit a mall.

“Yes, I’ve heard Chinese malls are fantastic. I’d like to have a look,” Wade Griffin said with a nod.

“Sure, it’s still early. We can treat it as a post-meal stroll,” Qin Tian agreed.

“Which mall has the most pharmacies? Let’s go to that one,” Wade Griffin added.

“All right,” Qin Tian replied, though he was a bit puzzled. Still, he did as Wade Griffin wished and took them to the nearest Detian Mall, which did have quite a few pharmacies.

“Is there a shop here that sells Tang suits? I’d like to buy one for my grandfather,” Wade Griffin said.

Pran Griffin often watched Chinese television dramas and was captivated by the splendor of Tang suits, always yearning to own one.

“Well… let’s have a look,” Qin Tian replied. He thought it might be difficult, since such malls mostly sold trendy clothes and not the authentic Tang suits, which usually had to be custom-ordered at specialty stores.

Yet, perhaps by luck, they actually found a rather decent-looking Tang suit shop.

The four entered the shop, and Wade Griffin’s eyes sparkled with excitement. In truth, he was quite fond of Tang suits himself, finding them very stylish.

Wade Griffin had dreamed of being a martial arts hero since childhood, and he believed that donning a Tang suit would make him invincible.

“Don’t touch! If you break it, you can’t afford to pay!” Just as the four were admiring the Tang suits, a fashionable woman in high heels and a cheongsam clattered out.

“These clothes are displayed to be sold, aren’t they? Why shouldn’t we touch them?” Qin Tian frowned slightly.

“Of course you can touch them—but not people like you! If you break anything, could you pay for it?” The woman folded her arms across her chest, eyeing Qin Tian’s group with open disdain.

Qin Tian’s clothes were quite ordinary—he looked every bit a poor student. Jiang Yingying and Shen Xiaoqing didn’t care for flashy brands either and wore common labels, so they didn’t look wealthy at all.

As for Wade Griffin, his clothing was all custom-tailored, with each piece worth tens of thousands—of euros, no less!

Unfortunately, the woman’s eye was untrained; she only recognized designer logos and couldn’t judge the quality of bespoke garments.

In the end, she simply looked at people through a prejudiced lens.

There’s no denying that today’s world remains largely driven by appearances—most people can only judge a person’s worth by their looks and attire at first glance.

But for someone in the service industry to judge by appearances is truly beneath her station.

“So, in your opinion, what sort of person is allowed to touch these clothes?” Qin Tian inquired.

“Do you drive an Audi or a BMW? How many floors and rooms does your house have?”

“See this? Rolex! Just one of these costs tens of thousands! But that’s nothing—my real clients all wear Patek Philippe! The starting price is a million! Do you have that? Do you?”

She rolled up her cheongsam sleeve and flaunted her Rolex before their eyes.

Qin Tian was about to reply when his phone suddenly announced a voice notification.

“Payment received via XX Pay—five hundred million.”

The woman’s eyes instantly went wide with shock!
